    Chief Revenue Officer

    About the Role:

    • The CRO will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our company. You will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive sales and business development strategies to drive top-line growth in Kenya and beyond. This is a senior leadership position requiring a strategic thinker with a proven track record of scaling direct-to-consumer brands. You will lead a high-performing team, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Develop and implement a data-driven growth strategy that aligns with the company's overall vision.
    • Lead and manage a high-performing sales and marketing team, fostering a culture of ownership, accountability, and exceeding expectations.
    • Identify and prioritize key revenue channels, including B2C sales, partnerships, and potential new business models.
    • Cultivate strong relationships with key partners and industry stakeholders.
    • Analyze customer data and market trends to identify customer pain points and translate them into innovative revenue opportunities.
    • Oversee pricing strategy and ensure alignment with overall business goals.
    • Develop and implement robust sales methodologies and processes to optimize efficiency and drive results.
    • Set up OKRs and track KPIs and hold teams accountable for meeting established goals.
    • Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline, driving consistent and sustainable revenue growth.

    Qualifications:

    • Experience in a leadership role within the e-commerce or direct-to-consumer industry, with a proven track record of scaling revenue.
    • A keen understanding of local customer needs and pain points and the ability to translate them into revenue opportunities.
    • Demonstrated expertise in developing and executing successful sales and business development strategies.
    • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, inspire, and coach a high-performing team.
    • Exceptional communication and presentation skills to effectively communicate vision and strategy to stakeholders across all levels.
    • Data-driven decision-making skills with the ability to translate insights into actionable growth strategies.
    • Strong analytical skills and the ability to identify and capitalize on market opportunities.
    • A strategic mindset with the ability to think both long-term and short-term.
    • Entrepreneurial spirit with a bias towards action and a "get things done" mentality.
    • Passion for the grocery industry and a desire to disrupt the traditional model.
    • A proven track record of building and managing high-performing teams within a fast-paced environment.
    • Strong understanding of marketing principles and their integration with sales strategies.
    • Experience in the online grocery industry is a plus.
