Reporting to Chief Engineer/Officer – Quality, the job holder will be responsible for continuously improving the business processes by initiating process improvement projects in the company, implement and maintain quality and environmental management systems and coordinate health and safety systems in a Business Area. The holder will also enhance the company’s compliance to applicable regulatory requirements and standards

Qualifications for the Quality Engineer Job

• Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Production Engineering or
• Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Health and safety, Environmental science or the equivalent from a recognized institution.
• Professional Certification in the relevant field.
• Training and certificates in ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001
• At least five (5) years’ experience in quality management systems and demonstrate a good understanding of quality requirements and standards.
• MS Office proficiency is essential

Reporting to Chief Engineer/Officer – Safety, the job holder will be responsible for promoting a positive safety culture and safe work practices in KenGen, maintaining & coordinating safety and health management system in the company and participate in identifying hazards including assessing risk to health and safety of employees.

Qualifications for the Senior Safety Engineer Job

• Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Production Engineering, or
• Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science or related field from a recognized institution.
• Postgraduate training in occupational safety, industrial safety or process safety will be an added advantage.
• Training and certification in OHSAS 18001 will also be an added advantage
• Membership to a relevant professional body will also be an added advantage
• At least five (5) years’ experience in a safety role and demonstrate active participation in health and safety activities, disaster risk and response management.
• Experience in managing safety and risk in an energy generating environment is an added advantage
• MS Office proficiency is essential

Reporting to Chief Audit & Internal Control Systems Officer, the job holder will be responsible for undertaking reviews of the company’s technical infrastructure and providing assurance to Management on the adequacy of the internal controls, ensuring that systems are effective and efficient in preventing fraud, losses, and safeguarding company assets and in driving the attainment of company objectives

Qualifications for the Senior Audit Analyst Job

• Bachelors degree in ICT or the equivalent from a recognized institution
• Professional Qualification on Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) is mandatory
• Professional Qualification on Certified Information System Management (CISM) or Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP) is an added advantage
• Active membership in Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA) and any other recognised professional body will also be an added advantage.
• Knowledge and experience in the use of Computer Aided Audit Techniques (CAAT’s) e.g. Teammate and Audit Command Language (ACL) is mandatory
• At least five (5) years relevant experience as an auditor, three (3) of which must be an external or internal audit in Information Systems audit or Information Security.
  Experience in ERP audit will also be an added advantage

Reporting to Chief to Technical Assurance Engineer, the job holder will be responsible for ensuring the implementation of technical assurance, energy management systems and standards with the aim of improving operations, maintenance and overall business performance

Qualifications for the Senior Technical Assurance Engineer Job

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technology or the equivalent from a recognized institution.
• Membership to a relevant professional body is mandatory
• At least five (5) years relevant experience in technical audits, plant operations and maintenance, quality management, manufacturing or related field.
• Experience in plant operations and quality systems audit is an added advantage.
• Demonstrate ability to lead and influence change in implementing technical assurance programs across all staff levels.
• MS Office proficiency is essential
