Roles and Responsibilities for the Team Leader Job

• Ensure the safety and productivity of all employees on the production floor.
• Provide leadership to the production team by.
• Ensuring that all work instructions are followed and machines are operated properly by interpreting the work SOPs to the operators.
• Ensure all safety and process procedures are followed to the letter
• Enable effective communications between management and operators
• Identify areas that need retraining in the lines
• Ensure new employees are well trained
• Maintain a clean and safe work place in accordance with 5S protocol
• Report all incidents and occurrences to the production management.
• Ensure set targets are met in a safe and timely manner.
• Help the production management with ensuring discipline and punctuality of the factory employees by offering good advice.
• Keep track of all production WIP records and ensure their accuracy.
• Perform other related duties as assigned or as situations dictate.
• Motivate line workers and identify their strength and weaknesses.
• Keep track of hourly output for the lines.
• Conduct work on the line and fill gaps as needed.

Team Leader Job Requirements

• A natural Leader
• Good Communicator
• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• Hands On personality.
• Proficiency in Microsoft packages.
• Experience in leading teams
