Plaster Technician Job Responsibilities

• Handling fractures and dislocations;
• Applying casts and springs to patients following an accident or surgery for particular orthopedic conditions;
• Assessing patient’s needs;
• Verifying and maintaining information relating to orthopedic patients.
• Order and maintain records of supplies
• Diagnosis of orthopaedic and trauma conditions
• Application and removal of casts and tractions
• Manipulation of bones
• Wound management
• Basic suturing of cuts

Qualifications for the Plaster Technician Job

• Be a Kenyan citizen.
• KCSE certificate.
• Certificate in Orthopedic Technician from recognized medical training institution.
