    Additional Information: This hotel is owned and operated by an independent franchisee, Westland Hotels Limited. The franchisee controls all aspects of the hotel’s employment policies and practices, including the selection and hiring process. If you accept a position at this hotel you will be employed by a franchisee and not by Marriott International.

    Job Summary 

    • Directs the operations of all kitchen areas and associates.
    • Develops and executes the food & beverage (culinary) strategy and focus on meeting and exceeding guest, departmental and hotel objectives.
    • Develop operating budgets, forecasting and capital expenditure planning and maintain projected revenue, controllable expenses and profit: 33% Food Cost
    • Ensures compliance with Sankara Nairobi, Autograph Collection operating standards and food safety laws  .
    • Actively involved in training, mentoring and coaching kitchen associates
    • Bachelor’s Degree preferably in culinary arts
    • Advanced Health & Hygiene Certification
    • Food and beverage culinary management experience with demonstrated leadership in a 5 Star Hotel
    • Working knowledge in basic computer packages,word ,excel, PowerPoint
    • Proficiency in Written and oral English language
    • Ability to acquire and maintain relationships e.g. associates, customers, vendors
    • Ability to effectively manage labor productivity
    • Financial management skills e.g., ability to analyze and interpret financial reports, P&L statements
