    Air Logistics Perishable Customer Care Specialist

    Your Role

    The Air Logistics Perishable Customer Care Specialist is responsible for ensuring that our customers experience is a positive one each and every time they engage with Kuehne+Nagel. Specifically, the Air Logistics Perishable Customer Care Specialist is part of a team within our CCL’s – Customer Care Locations, who are responsible for direct interaction with our customers, proactive customer service, problem solving, customer follow up, interaction with our sales colleagues and equally as important, ensuring that our Operational Care Centres (OCC’s) have all of the necessary information (including systematic information) to be able to execute on our customer behalf.

    Your Responsibilities

    • Collecting data in terms of expected volumes from our customers
    • Arranging booking reservation with relevant airlines depending on forecast received from customers in Kaplog (Kenya Air Perishables Logistics System)
    • Updating customers on status of their requests and where confirmed forward booking confirmations and details.
    • Attending to customers queries.
    • Inserting customer details on Salog (Sea & Air Logistics System) to generate Mawb’s (Master Air Waybill) / Hawb’s (House Airway Bill).
    • Arranging and requesting for Mawbs ( Master Airway Bill) stock from respective Airlines.
    • Controlling the stock once issued.
    • Ensure that all Kaplog tasks are completed at the end of the shift.
    • Pro-actively advise and consult Customers to ensure satisfaction.
    • Monitoring Customer Shipments in order to provide proactive updates to customers and to problem solve (by collaborating with other stakeholders) in anticipation of a customer complaint.

    • Good communicator with excellent interpersonal skills
    • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
    • Able to develop self & others, fostering team spirit
    • Reliable and punctual
    • Fluent in English
    • Training on SALOG (Sea & Air Logistics System)  and KAPLOG  (Kenya Air Perishables Logistics System)
    • Ready to work for long hours both at night and during the day.
    • Preferred Bachelor’s degree holder in Business or Logistics management and a Diploma in public relations or customer care
