Assistant Director Education at Migori County Public Service Board

Duties and Responsibilities

• Prepare education proposal for funding
• Implement education policies
• Evaluate education programmes
• Manage funds allocated to education programmes
• Implement education curriculum
• Oversee auditing of financial resources in educational institution
• Carry out research on indigenous languages and all forms of national and cultural expressions
•  Implement capacity building programmes for education managers, committees and boards
• Coordinate nominations of education management
• Implement ICT integration programmes in education
• Harness creativity and innovation, mobilizing resources
• Manage education data
• Monitor quality and standards of Education; and
• Plan, monitor and evaluate performance of staff against the set targets

Requirements for Appointment

• Be a Kenyan citizen
• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Arts or Science from a recognized institution and a post graduate Diploma in Education from a recognized institution;
• Master’s degree in any of the following disciplines: education, arts, Project Planning & Management, Education Communication and Technology, science, or business administration in a management related field from a recognized institution will be an added advantage;
• Knowledge and relevant work experience of not less than six (6) years and has at least three (3) years’ experience at management level;
• Proficiency in computer applications; and
• Demonstrated a high degree of professional competence and administrative capability
