    Biomedical Engineer

    Job Summary
    The Biomedical Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the quality, installation, maintenance, and servicing of biomedical equipment. The role will involve overseeing the entire lifecycle of medical devices, from procurement through installation and user training, to ongoing maintenance and repairs.
    Key Responsibilities

    • Evaluate and verify the quality of biomedical equipment upon receipt, ensuring compliance with technical specifications and regulatory standards.
    • Conduct regular performance tests and calibrations to ensure equipment accuracy and reliability.
    • Document and report any quality issues, working with suppliers to resolve discrepancies.
    • Oversee the installation of biomedical equipment in healthcare facilities, ensuring proper setup and functionality.
    • Conduct site assessments to determine the best placement and installation strategies for equipment.
    • Provide training to healthcare staff on the proper use and maintenance of biomedical equipment.
    • Offer ongoing technical support and guidance to end-users to ensure optimal equipment performance.
    • Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for all biomedical equipment.
    • Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs to ensure equipment remains operational.
    • Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment performance.
    • Ensure all biomedical equipment complies with local and international health and safety regulations.
    • Maintain comprehensive documentation for all equipment, including user manuals, maintenance logs, and service records.
    • Prepare reports on equipment performance, maintenance activities, and any incidents of equipment failure.
    • Collaborate with suppliers and manufacturers to obtain technical documentation and updates for equipment.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's Degree, Higher Diploma or Diploma in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
    • Minimum of 3 years of experience in biomedical equipment management, including installation, maintenance, and user training.
    • Strong technical knowledge of biomedical equipment and devices.
    • Proficiency in diagnostic and repair tools for medical devices.
