    Commission Sales Agent

    The Opportunity at a Glance

    The position reports directly to the Sales Manager and its main purpose is to prospect for new business for the company to maintain and expand the customer base with the aim of maximizing sales volume and revenue while maintaining high standards of customer service.

    Your Responsibilities

    • Health & Safety: Ensure compliance with Health & Safety rules. This is an integral part of all job duties as is the company’s overarching value and is implemented by Group H&S guidelines.
    • Manage the sales portfolio of the Ready Mix and Precast Products.
    • Follow up on invoicing and payments.
    • Conduct market intelligence and share the report with the commercial team for planning and decision-making.
    • Coordinate technical training with suppliers.
    • Coordinate all communication and marketing activities within the network with the marketing team
    • In liaison with the credit control team, manage the credit risk of his/her sales portfolio
    • Visit Potential customers’ sites for new business. Provide customers with quotations, negotiate terms and agreements, and close sales.
    • Represent the organization at trade exhibitions, events, and demonstrations.

    Your Impact

     You will contribute to ensuring the achievement of overall company performance through:

    • Selling and invoicing as per the sales targets defined for the year
    • Accurately invoicing all the sales generated
    • Correct implementation of the Company’s discount policy,
    • Maintaining average debtors age at below 30 days
    • Generating revenue on new product and VAPS

    Your Experience
    This job may be for you if you have:

    • A degree in any business management discipline. A diploma in marketing will be an added advantage
    • At least 2 years work experience in sales or business development
    • Commercial acumen and entrepreneurial spirit
    • Good knowledge of the building materials industry and market
    • Well-organized individual with the ability to be autonomous
    • Persuasive with good oral communication skills
