    Demand Planner

    Job Purpose

    • The Demand Planner will coordinate and manage planning and inventory processes to ensure optimal product availability in terms of timing, quantity, location, and price. They will develop and execute demand forecasts, aligning inventory with sales trends and marketing strategies to maximize customer satisfaction and business performance. This role requires strong analytical skills, strategic thinking, and an understanding of the fashion industry

    Key Responsibilities

    •  Develop monthly buy plans by predicting customer demand based on historical data, market trends, and other relevant factors.
    • Optimize inventory levels to meet customer needs while minimizing excess stock, ensuring timely product availability in stores and online.
    • Ensure optimal stocking of retail outlets and online stores, maintaining a balanced product assortment across all locations.
    • Create strategies to manage seasonal demand fluctuations, ensuring timely availability of seasonal products.
    • Analyze sales data, market trends, and other metrics to identify patterns and inform decision-making for production.
    • Collaborate with the buying/merchandising team to forecast demand and manage the introduction of new products, coordinating with production teams.
    • Work with the buying team to understand product costs, margins, and market trends to set competitive prices that maximize profitability.
    • Monitor inventory levels to identify overstock and understock situations, and implement markdowns and promotional strategies with the retail and marketing teams to clear excess inventory.

    Qualifications & Experience

    • Bachelor's Degree in Commerce, Economics , Fashion Merchandising or any other related field 
    • Strong Retail Math and Analytical skills
    • Ability to research and analyze large amounts of data.
    • Knowledge of and experience working with ERPs, stock management systems including intermediate to advanced skills in Database management and Microsoft Excel.
    • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Looker or other visualization tools.
