Key Responsibilities

• Research, write, and publish news articles, features and other content on a wide range of topics.
• Monitor news sources and social media to stay on top of breaking news and trending topics
• Produce multimedia content, including videos, podcasts, and infographics.
• Engage with our audience through social media, comments, and other interactive channels.
• Collaborate with the editorial team to ensure content is accurate, timely and compelling
• Optimize content for SEO and social media to increase visibility and engagement.
• Meet deadlines and manage multiple assignments simultaneously.
• Analyze web traffic and user engagement metrics to inform strategy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Journalism or a related field.
• Proven experience as a journalist or similar role.
• Excellent writing and editing skills with a strong command of the English language.
• Strong research skills and the ability to quickly grasp complex topics.
• Familiarity with SEO best practices and content management systems (CMS).
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• A keen eye for detail and a commitment to producing high-quality content.
• Passion for storytelling and a deep understanding of the Kenyan media landscape.
• Multimedia skills, including video editing and graphic design, are a plus.
