    Events and Community Associate

    Job Description

    • AMI is looking for an ambitious and talented events and community associate,  to support the running of AMI Enterprise events and its community. The Events and community associate is responsible for partnering with the AMI Marketing and Business Development teams to bring AMI Enterprise strategies to life through AMI-hosted, and AMI-sponsored events. This is a chance to connect AMI events strategy, regional marketing, and sales strategy, and deliver experiences that amplify those strategies. 
    • Additionally, you will curate and manage a vibrant community of prospects and clients through preferred communication channels. You will act as the liaison between AMI Enterprise and its audience, acting as the voice, tone, and moderator of the brand through community support, content distribution, and digital engagement to build brand presence and trust, both online and in-person.

    Responsibilities

    Event Management:

    • Map out events tailored to AMI Enterprise target audiences, maximizing impact and engagement.
    • Plan and execute AMI Enterprise in-person and online events across Africa, ensuring high ROI and contribution to brand awareness and lead generation.
    • Manage event finances, resources, and budgets for vendors, venues, and merchandise efficiently for seamless execution.
    • Partner with the marketing team to promote AMI Enterprise events across various channels and drive registrations.
    • Develop and deliver engaging pre-event communications to boost registration and attendance.
    • Oversee on-site event execution, ensuring smooth operations and attendee satisfaction.
    • Develop and execute strategies to convert leads generated from events, collaborating closely with the Business Development team to ensure successful outcomes.

    Community Management:

    • Design and implement a strategy for community growth and engagement.
    • Build and manage a vibrant online community exclusive to the AMI Enterprise target audience.
    • Facilitate dynamic online discussions, address community concerns, and promote positive interactions.
    • Develop and curate content that resonates with the community, driving active participation.
    • Develop and implement PR initiatives to leverage the community for positive media coverage.
    • Integrate community engagement data with marketing and sales efforts to identify leads.
    • Develop strategies to convert community members into qualified leads and customers.
    • Ensure brand consistency across all community platforms and communications.

    Data Analysis and Reporting:

    • Track and analyze key metrics for events and the Enterprise community.  
    • Identify trends and opportunities for further growth based on data insights. 
    • Prepare reports and present findings to stakeholders every week.

    Requirements

    Skills & Attributes

    • Proven experience in event management and community engagement.
    • Ability to leverage events and community engagement to generate leads.
    • Strong organizational and communication skills.
    • Ability to collaborate across teams and work in a fast-paced environment.
    • Proficiency in CRM tools and project management.

    Education and Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field preferred.
    • 3 years of experience in marketing
