Gender Based Violence Trainer at Perk Group Africa

• We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Gender-Based Violence Trainer to join our team. The trainer will be responsible for developing and delivering training programs aimed at preventing and responding to gender-based violence. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in gender studies, human rights, or a related field, and practical experience in training and capacity building.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver comprehensive GBV training programs for diverse audiences, including community members, service providers, and law enforcement.
• Create and update training materials, including manuals, presentations, and handouts.
• Conduct needs assessments to tailor training programs to specific audience needs.
• Facilitate workshops, seminars, and webinars on GBV prevention and response.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to promote awareness and understanding of GBV issues.
• Evaluate training effectiveness and make improvements based on feedback.
• Stay updated on current trends, research, and best practices in GBV prevention and response.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Gender Studies, Human Rights, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in GBV prevention and response, with at least 2 years in a training or capacity-building role.
• Strong understanding of gender-based violence issues and human rights.
• Familiarity with local, national, and international GBV laws and policies.
• Excellent facilitation and presentation skills.
• Experience in curriculum development and instructional design.
• Ability to engage diverse audiences and adapt training methods to meet different learning needs.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience working with NGOs, international organizations, or government agencies will be a Plus
