    Intern - Resource Mobilization and Partnerships

    Duties and Resposibilities:

    • Support with the analysis of data and information on the resource mobilization progress in the region;
    • Support in researching the presence, interests and application requirements of the main donors and other sources of funding for the Regional Office (RO) and Country Offices (COs); 
    • Support in developing and maintaining a contact list of all donors and partners at regional and country level; 
    • Support in the development of knowledge products related to partnerships and disseminating internally to support institutional capacity on partner relations;
    • Support in contributing to the monitoring of soft and hard pipelines on resource mobilization;
    • Support with quality assurance of Donor Agreements through the Donor Agreements Management System (DAMS);
    • Support in the organization of Resource Mobilization related events, including donor briefings; 
    • Support and contributing in the organization of capacity building workshops and webinars for COs; 
    • Support in drafting minutes of meetings held with donors and partners and keeping a well-organized archive within sharepoint of communication flows with donors and partners; 
    • Support in the collaboration with communication unit to enhance the visibility of the donors and their contributions to the region, and supporting the development of advocacy/ resource mobilization materials for Gender Equality and Women Empowerement (GEWE) support in the region.

    • Enhanced knowledge in UN technical language, working procedures, and coordination mechanisms;
    • Enhanced knowldge and understanding working in a multicultural setting.

    • Creativity in writing and designing content, including storytelling skills is an advantage.

    Required Skills and Experience

    Education:

    • University studies in one of the following disciplines:International Relations, Sociology, Development Studies or related fields;
    • Be enrolled in a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher); or Be enrolled in a postgraduate professional traineeship program which is part of a degree programme and undertake the internship as part of the program requirements;
    • Be enrolled in a postgraduate degree programme (such as a master’s programme, or higher);
    • Be enrolled in the final academic year of a first university degree programme (such as bachelor’s degree or equivalent);
    • Have recently graduated with a university degree (as defined in (a) and (b) above) and, if selected, must start the internship within two-years of graduation.

    Language:

    • Excellent communication skills (written and oral) in English are required;
    • Knowledge of another official UN language is desirable (French, Arabic, Chinese, Russian or Spanish).
