    Internship Program Support for Drought Emergency Response Hub

    How can you make a difference?

    Under the guidance and supervision of the Emergency Specialist, NOD, the program support intern provides administrative and logistical support to the  Drought Emergency Response Hub.

    • Provide administrative support for the Hub
    • Handling administrative requests and queries from ERCT staff
    • Organizing and scheduling appointments with internal and external stakeholders
    • Planning meetings and taking detailed minutes during meetings
    • Alert Team members on when reports are due
    • Develop and maintain a filing system for all documents
    • Update and maintain office policies and procedures
    • Order office supplies for staff in collaboration with Office Supplies
    • Maintain contact lists
    • Provide general support for logistics during missions (vehicle booking etc) and coordinate the field mission planning for DRCT members 
    •  Update the Field Mission plan on SharePoint and support tracking of Programme Monitoring Visits (PMVs) and Supply End User

    To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have

    • Enrolment in a degree programme in an undergraduate or graduate school, or recently graduated in the last 2 years in the field of Business Administration or related discipline
    • Proficiency in at least one of UNICEF’s working languages: English, French or Spanish and fluent in the working language of the office of assignment
    • Strong academic performance as demonstrated by recent university or institution records
    • Prior experience in programme support functions will be an asset.
    • Have no immediate relatives (e.g. father, mother, brother, sister) working in any UNICEF office; and have no other relatives in the line of authority which the intern will report to.
