    Laboratory Technologist

    Job Summary
    The Laboratory Technologist is responsible for ensuring the proper handling, storage, and distribution of laboratory reagents, equipment, and other supplies within the warehouse.
    Key Responsibilities

    • Monitor and manage the inventory of laboratory reagents, equipment, and supplies.
    • Perform regular stock checks and ensure accurate record-keeping.
    • Coordinate with procurement and suppliers to ensure timely replenishment of stock.
    • Ensure that all laboratory products are stored under optimal conditions as per the manufacturer’s guidelines.
    • Conduct regular inspections of products to ensure they meet quality and regulatory standards.
    • Manage the proper disposal of expired or damaged reagents and supplies.
    • Accurately pick and pack laboratory products for shipment to clients.
    • Verify that outgoing orders match client specifications and documentation.
    • Coordinate with the logistics team to ensure timely and safe delivery of products.
    • Liaise with suppliers to ensure that incoming products meet required quality and safety standards.
    • Manage the receipt of goods and ensure accurate documentation of deliveries.
    • Collaborate with procurement to resolve any issues related to product quality or supply.
    • Maintain detailed records of all incoming and outgoing products.
    • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including handling, storage, and transportation of hazardous materials.
    • Prepare reports on inventory levels, product quality, and any discrepancies.
    • Provide technical assistance and guidance to warehouse staff regarding the handling and storage of laboratory products.
    • Implement and promote safety protocols related to the handling and storage of hazardous materials.

    Requirements

    • Diploma or Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or a related field.
    • Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a laboratory or warehouse setting, preferably involving laboratory supplies.
    • Strong understanding of laboratory equipment, reagents, and supplies.
    • Excellent organizational and inventory management skills.
    • Proficiency in warehouse management systems and inventory software.
