Laboratory Technologists (Two Positions) at Mount Kenya University

Qualification

Education, Skills and Experience

 Must have:

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical and electronics engineering
• Registered by relevant regulatory body
• Prior experience in a Tertiary Learning Institution will be an added advantage
• Be computer literate
• Have good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Have at least 3 years of working experience in a Laboratory
• A Willingness to learn and work overtime when required

Key responsibilities also include

Reporting to: Principal Laboratory Technologist

Duties and responsibilities:

• Conducting experiments and investigations under the guidance of Engineers.
• Inspecting inventory and reordering materials and technical components.
• Analyzing operations and offering suggestions for improvement.
• Prepare, conducting and supervising practical classes or courses.
• Participate in research and student projects.
• Ensure that equipment spare parts and supplies are available.
• Assess, determine and evaluate Requirements for assigned practical work.
• Any other duty as may be assigned by the immediate supervisor
