    Learning Manager

    • We are seeking someone who has built and managed learning delivery from the ground up, ideally for a high-growth careers marketplace, ed-tech platform or a learning community. The ideal candidate for this role will be excited about delivering an incredible learning experience by building and promoting a diverse portfolio of learning opportunities that add value to our community members' lives and help to grow their careers.

We’re looking to hire someone immediately, but for the right candidate, we’re willing to wait as well. English fluency is required.

    Responsibilities:

    • Build and maintain relationships with a wide range of existing learning partners, internal and external stakeholders, and developer relations leaders.
    • Curate existing content and resources and source new content from external sources or subject matter experts.
    • Developing and implementing global training policies.
    • Facilitating direct remote workshops when required.
    • Develop and deliver technical and non-technical curriculum aimed at improving the professional development of our talent in the network.
    • Identify and activate new learning opportunities that align with our business objectives, add value for our community members, and expand our upskilling through partnerships.
    • Develop, design and deliver a wide variety of learning curriculum through remote instructor workshops and webinars that will drive professional development and upskill talent in key areas.
    • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
    • Collaborate with colleagues on our Talent Experience team to develop a deep understanding of our communities and identify learning partnerships that will drive engagement, retention, and an enhanced learning experience for our members.
    • Work very closely with our Legal and Finance teams to finalize operational and contracting details with prospective learning partnerships.
    • Partner with our Product and Marketing teams to drive awareness and adoption of our learning initiatives and to better integrate our upskilling offerings into the right moments of our community members’ Andela.
    • Drive partnership adoption through the creation of engaging learning content for our community, including webinars, blog and social media posts, and newsletters.
    • Identify and support cross-promotional learning opportunities between our existing Codewars and Andela partners and communities.
    • Monitor performance and understand what learning / upskilling opportunities work or don’t work for our talent. Provide insightful data to guide decision-making, impact product adoption, retention, and development.

    Requirements:

    • 5+ years of experience as either a learning manager, learning & development manager, developer relations or training manager at a software company, marketplace, or startup.
    • An excellent relationship manager, with a proven ability to engage others and build key relationships within a wide range of industries, countries, and time zones.
    • A successful track record of designing and delivering learning programs.
    • A deep understanding of technical communities, edtech, or freelance or contractor talent and their unique needs.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a tendency to over-document and over-communicate we are fully remote, so this is very important.
    • Fluency in English is required. Portuguese or Spanish is not required, but either would be nice to have.
    • Highly organized and self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and multi-task in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
    • A skilled project leader who can launch, test, and measure the success of initiatives in sprints.
    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions and monitor and report on targets, trends, and KPIs.
    • Humble and willing to learn/grow. We need confident and capable leaders who want to help each other succeed as much as they want to help our community succeed.
