• As the Legal and Compliance Officer, you will be pivotal in steering the organization through the complexities of legal and regulatory landscapes.
• Partnering closely with the Group Chief Legal Officer (GCLO), you’ll ensure that the company meets and exceeds legal and compliance standards, safeguarding the organization's integrity and reputation.
• From providing expert legal guidance on corporate governance, contracts, and data protection to developing robust compliance programs, your work will be integral to maintaining a culture of accountability and excellence.
• You’ll be at the forefront of contract negotiations, dispute resolution, and policy development, ensuring every legal document aligns with regulatory requirements and the organization’s strategic goals.
• Additionally, your efforts in data protection and regulatory liaison will keep the company ahead of industry standards, while your training initiatives will empower the team to uphold these standards across all operations. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB); professional certification (e.g., CPS) is a plus.
• Admission to the bar with good standing with the Law Society of Kenya (LSK).
• At least 3 years of experience in legal and compliance roles, preferably in the Oil and Gas sector.
• Strong knowledge of relevant laws and regulations.
• Experience in stakeholder management and risk management.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
