    Pastry and Baking Tutor

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Develop and deliver engaging lessons and practical training in pastry and baking, including techniques, recipes, and industry standards.
    • Create and update instructional materials, such as lesson plans, handouts, and multimedia resources.
    • Conduct practical demonstrations and workshops to showcase advanced baking techniques.
    • Evaluate student performance through assessments, practical exams, and assignments.
    • Provide constructive feedback and guidance to help students improve their skills and achieve their educational goals.
    • Offer one-on-one support and mentorship to students, addressing individual learning needs and challenges.
    • Assist in the design and development of new courses and programs to meet industry trends and student needs.
    • Contribute to the continuous improvement of curriculum content and teaching methodologies.
    • Manage classroom and kitchen lab environments to ensure a safe, organized, and conducive learning atmosphere.
    • Oversee the proper use and maintenance of kitchen equipment and tools.
    • Stay current with industry trends, techniques, and best practices in pastry and baking.
    • Build and maintain relationships with industry professionals and organizations.
    • Participate in professional development opportunities and training to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.

    KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION

    • Degree or diploma in Pastry Arts, Baking, Culinary Arts, or a related field. Advanced certifications or credentials in pastry and baking are preferred.
    • Strong knowledge of pastry and baking techniques, recipes, and industry standards.
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
    • Ability to work effectively with students of diverse backgrounds and skill levels.
    • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
    • Proficiency in using kitchen equipment and technology.
