    Pharmaceutical Technologist

    Job Summary
    The Pharmaceutical Technologist will be responsible for managing and overseeing the storage, handling, and distribution of pharmaceutical products within the warehouse.
    Key Responsibilities

    • Oversee the receipt, storage, and dispatch of pharmaceutical products in compliance with regulatory guidelines.
    • Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure all pharmaceutical items are properly labeled and stored.
    • Conduct regular inventory checks and audits to ensure stock levels are accurate and up to date.
    • Monitor product expiration dates and manage the rotation of stock to minimize wastage.
    • Ensure all pharmaceutical products are stored under conditions that meet Good Distribution Practice (GDP) standards.
    • Implement and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the handling and storage of pharmaceuticals.
    • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements, including those from the Pharmacy and Poisons Board.
    • Handle any non-conforming products according to company policies, including quarantine, reporting, and disposal.
    • Accurately pick, pack, and prepare pharmaceutical orders for dispatch according to customer requirements.
    • Coordinate with logistics and transport teams to ensure timely and safe delivery of products.
    • Verify and document all outgoing pharmaceutical shipments to ensure compliance with legal and company standards.
    • Maintain accurate records of all pharmaceutical transactions, including receipts, storage, dispatch, and returns.
    • Prepare and submit regular reports on inventory levels, stock movements, and any issues related to pharmaceutical products.
    • Ensure that all documentation is kept up to date and readily available for regulatory inspections.
    • Implement health and safety protocols to protect warehouse staff from potential hazards related to pharmaceutical products.
    • Coordinate with suppliers to ensure the timely delivery of pharmaceutical products to the warehouse.
    • Provide support to customers and healthcare facilities on the proper handling and storage of pharmaceutical products.

    Requirements

    • Diploma in Pharmaceutical Technology from a recognized institution.
    • Valid registration and practicing license with the Pharmacy and Poisons Board.
    • At least 2 years of experience in a pharmaceutical setting, preferably in a warehouse orsupply chain environment.
    • Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical storage and handling regulations.
