    Physiotherapist (Pelvic Health/lymhedema Management), Physiotherapy Department

    Responsibilities:

    • Treat patients with pelvic health issues/lymphedema as well as provide general physiotherapy services
    • Assessing the status of patients before providing physiotherapy services.
    • Treat patients by means of exercise and electrotherapy.
    • Teach patients about treatment, lifestyle, interventions, care and discharge plan.
    • Provide educational information regarding exercise programmes, Risk factor modification and home programmes.
    • Reporting any malfunction of the equipment.
    • Conduct regular monitoring/testing.
    • Ensure all patients documentation is done on time.
    • Evaluating and monitoring documentation of patients notes.
    • Monitor and adhere to infection control guidelines.
    • Monitor equipment safety.
    • Monitor client and staff safety.
    • Ensure support staff are observing Health & safety measures through regular in-services trainings.
    • Participate in planning & implementation of dept. Goals.
    • Monitor set goals and objectives.
    • Participate in the implementation of quality control/staff development.
    • Conduct in-house CMEs to support staff/therapists, monitor and review progress.
    • Any other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor or designee.

     Requirements:

    • Diploma in Physiotherapy from a recognized institution/college.
    • Must be registered with the Physiotherapy Council of Kenya, with a valid License Practice Certificate.
    • At least 2 years of working experience as a Physiotherapist.
    • Must have a Pelvic Floor Rehabilitation level three certificate/certificate in lymphedema management.
    • Must have a Certificate in Basic Life Support (BLS).
    • Must be computer literate.
    • Must have excellent customer service skills.
    • Should be proactive and be able to manage time effectively.
    • Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills.
