    Senior Business Systems Analyst

    Job Overview

    The incumbent reports to the CDC Kenya Division for Global HIV/AIDS, Partner Management Pillar, Associate Director (GS14). Provides technical assistance to CDC DGHT Kenya implementing partners through business systems assessments which are designed to assess the quality of internal controls and provide recommendations to improve business systems based on findings. Incumbent also tracks internal audit processes to ensure compliance with federal appropriation and assistance law. Tracks the submission and follow up of annual audit reports to the CDC Office of Grants Solutions (OGS). Conducts initial business systems audits for all new CDC implementing partners, and periodic system audits with selected partners based on recommendations/findings from site visit reports or recommendations from leadership.
    Provides training and mentorship to the financial and administrative staff of implementing partners and CDC staff with focus on local indigenous organization as a means to build the business systems capacity in country. Provides routine reports to administrative and technical managers and project officers on compliance of implementing partners to inform decision-making for funding levels and/or administrative or program restrictions and actions

    Requirements:

    All selected candidates must be able to obtain and hold a: 

    • Kenyan Police Clearance Certificate
    • All selected candidates will be subject to a background investigation and may be subject to a pre-employment medical exam.  
    • Selected candidate must be able to begin working within a reasonable period of time (4 weeks) upon receipt of agency authorization and/or clearances/certifications or their candidacy may end.

    Education Requirements:

    This position requires a bachelor’s degree in business administration, Accounting, Auditing, Commerce or Finance

    Experience:

    The incumbent must possess at least seven years of managing business, financial operations of a public health organizations, such as non-governmental, international or governmental entities.
