    Senior ICT Officer

    About the job

    The Senior IT Officer will be responsible for coordination of the ICT function in the company, ensure reliability and sustainability of information and communication resources.

    Responsibilities

    • Efficient allocation of computer hardware and software resources and related inventory management
    • User training and support on the company’s ICT services
    • Manage servers and ensure optimal operation of key services including Virtual machines, replications, data backups and recovery
    • Installation, configuration, troubleshooting, maintenance and upgrading of the company’s ICT resources, both hardware and software
    • Support and administration of Office 365 and Active Directory domains including managing users, user groups, and group policies
    • Maintain and support business applications
    • Formulation, implementation and administration of IT policies and best practices
    • Conduct regular system audits and ensure optimal performance of the systems
    • Schedule and perform general preventative maintenance tasks on computers, laptops, printers and any other ICT assets
    • Record management within the ICT function
    • Budgeting and cost management within the ICT function
    • Preparation and presentation of ICT reports
    • Team leadership and supervision
    • ICT suppliers liaison
    • Any other related duties that may be assigned from time to time

    Qualifications

    • 3+ years of helpdesk engineer experience
    • 3+ years of verifiable, hands-on experience supporting organizations with multiple interconnected remote sites
    • 3+ years supporting basic network technologies
    • Experience with system integrations
    • Ability to recognize, analyze, and effectively solve problems in a timely and organized manner.
    • Expert in Microsoft Operation Systems required
    • Good communication and interpersonal skills
    • ITIL certification, Microsoft MCSA/MCP an added advantage
    • Degree in Information Technology or related field
