Senior Security Officer, Regions - MG 08 at Kenya Power

This position will be reporting to the respective Chief Security Officer, Regions. The key duties and responsibilities will include;

• Carry out prevention and investigation of fraud and theft cases in the county as per laid down procedures.
• Conduct investigations on criminal cases and presenting them to police for appropriate action.
• Participate in implementation of safety and security measures and regulations by employees and customers.
• Safeguard security of county assets against theft, pilferage, damage, misuse or sabotage.
• Participate in conducting investigations of Motor-vehicle accidents and recommending ways of reducing them.
• Liaise with law enforcement agencies to ensure effective execution of security functions in the county
• Supervise contracted guards manning regional installations and premises.
• Ensure effective utilization of resources assigned.
• Represent the company in the external investigation on matters of security in the company as necessary.
• Hold meetings with internal/external customers on matters of general security regarding the county.
• Ensure the county security operations are consistent with the corporate objectives.
• Prepare timely and accurate reports.

Appointment Specification

• Bachelor’s Degree Security Management or its equivalent from a recognized Institution.
• Diploma in Criminology/Forensic Science or related field
• Military/Police/National Youth Service Training
• Eight (8) years work experience in Security Services or relevant Function
• Thorough understanding of Company business
