Solar ESS Sales Manager at StarTimes Media

Objective of the position:

• The Solar ESS Sales Manager is responsible for driving sales and managing business development activities for solar energy storage solutions
• The role involves developing sales strategies, building relationships with key clients, identifying new business opportunities, and leading a sales team
• The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of solar technology, energy storage systems, and a strong background in both B2C and B2B sales, particularly in the renewable energy sector

Requirements

• A relevant university degree
• Proven experience (3-5 years) in Solar ESS salesmanagement, preferably within the energy storage, renewable energy, or technology sectors
• Ability to lead, mentor and motivate a sales team to meet and exceed sales target
• Experience managing dealer networks or working within a B2B sales environment is a plus
• Understanding of the ESS market and related technologies is highly desirable
• Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with dealers and internal stakeholders Strong communication and negotiation skills
• Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with dealers and internal stakeholders Analytical skills to assess sales data and market trends
• Proficiency with CRM tools and Microsoft Office Suite
• This position may require travel within assigned region
• Good geographical knowledge and social fit within the region of operation Knowledge of and fluency in English and Kiswahili is an added advantage
