    Storekeeper

    Roles & Responsibilities

    • Raise orders on behalf of users for approval
    • To receive the materials supplied by the suppliers as per the purchase order placed by the Purchase Department or end users.
    • To ensure the correctness in the quality, quantity, specifications and condition of the materials received from suppliers
    • To separate the materials category wise and store in the appropriate locations.
    • Ensure there is easy access, identification, verification, handling and maintenance of materials.
    • Controlling all the storage activities with an accurate monitoring (material in/out) system to ensure goods and materials in stock are used before the expiry date.
    • Reconcile all the incoming materials with purchase orders and packing lists.
    • Generate reports, documents and tracks damages and discrepancies on orders received on a daily basis.
    • Maintains files appropriate for the activities of the store, such as quotations, orders and or goods received notes
    • In charge of the security of the goods and materials in the store up until consumed.
    • Monitoring the quantities available on stock with a clear picture of consumer demands
    • Answerable to audit queries that relate to the materials in stock or either used materials.
    • To ensure proper safety measures are taken for the safety of the materials in the store and the workers in the store.
    • To issue out the materials to the user departments or personnel guided by the purchase orders and delivery notes.
    • Give out a regular report on stock levels.
    • Recollecting any balance/ receiving back any unused materials at the end of the working day.
    • General supervision on the store regarding wastage of material and improper use of material etc.
    •  To maintain the soteneat and tidiness of store house.

     Job Qualifications

    • A Diploma in Store keeping or procurement
    • 3 years of relevant experience as a store keeper.
    • Experience in the construction industry
