    Talent Acquisition & Employee Engagement Lead - People & Culture

    Roles and responsibilities

    The successful candidate will be responsible for talent acquisition including the Graduate Recruitment program as well as supporting Employee Engagement. He/she will be a trusted People advisor to our internal clients and will be part of a People & Culture team that is committed to shaping the People Agenda across Zamara Group.

    The role will report to the Chief People & Culture Officer. It will also involve coordinating closely on people matters with other senior stakeholders including Zamara’s Chief P&C Officer, the senior management team as well as a range of advisors and support providers.

    In more detail, the areas of responsibility include:

    Talent Acquisition

    The job holder will actively be involved in the following:

    • Organize internal career fairs by department or area of expertise for students and recent graduates.
    • Participate at career fairs for colleges, engage with students, and advance our employer brand
    • For internships and junior roles, analyze candidates’ talents, interview candidates, and screen resumes.
    • Inform online and offline alumni communities about current open positions. Provide a report on recruiting analytics following each careers event including the number of candidates interviewed and hired.
    • Make contact with career counselors at universities and provide them informational papers regarding our internship programs.
    • Create and post print advertisements on college campuses.
    • Post job openings and connect with possible applicants on social media networks.
    • Work together with team leaders to identify job requirements and create internship initiatives.
    • Establish and preserve positive connections with colleges and other educational establishments.
    • Experienced hires – Creating job descriptions, advertising using the relevant media, screening, selecting applicants and coordinating the hiring process i.e. interviews, reference checks, contracting, documents collection etc.
    • Maintaining an active database of applications for experienced hires.
    • Working with representatives from the relevant business units to develop job descriptions.
    • Maintain appropriate and up to date recruitment reports.

    Onboarding

    • Coordinate the onboarding process pre and post joining through preparation of onboarding emails to new joiners, buddy allocation, conducting and coordinating induction, facilitating new joiners’ lunch, sitting space allocation and new joiners walk around.
    • Coordinate the take 5/probation performance review process for new joiners within their first three (3) months.
    • Ensuring timely communication on the outcome of the probation performance review process.

    HR Advisory Support

    • Support our employee engagement, training, performance management and separation processes.
    • Act as a trusted advisor to our internal clients on adhoc P&C matters.
    • Support the integration and regionalization of best practices across Zamara Group.

    Special projects

    • Work closely with the team to ensure the automation of key people processes across Zamara Group.
    • Support in learning & development initiatives, performance management, & succession planning.

    Experience and personal qualities

    This role will require a high calibre and experienced HR professional with the highest levels of ambition and commitment.

    The following experience is preferred:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in HR, Psychology, or a related field from a recognized institution.
    • At least 6 years of relevant work experience.
    • Experience as a HR Manager or a HR Business Partner/ Advisor.
    • Experience offering advisory or practice support across all areas in the HR value chain.
    • Working in an organization that has a Human Resources Information System. Preferably SAP or Bamboo HR.
