Teacher Assistant at Aurum Consultants

Responsibilities

• Helping children who need extra support to complete tasks and supporting pupils with particular individual needs.
• Setting the classroom ready for lessons.
• Updating of work in class work and homework books.
• Helping teachers to plan learning activities and complete records.
• To support teachers in managing class behaviour.
• Ensure learners go home smart i.e; not to stay or go home wet. Change them in case they mess themselves.
• Take up the role of a class teacher in case of absenteeism to ensure smooth learning.
• Escort the pupils during different timings of the day.
• Ensure both snacks and lunch are served and plates are taken back to the kitchen on time.
• Take up any other role assigned to them outside class by the supervisor.

Qualifications

• Must be TSC registered.
• A Diploma or Certificate in ECDE.
• Minimum KCSE English grade C.
• Minimum KSCE Maths grade C
• A trained teacher/ in training committed and supports the mission and vision of the school.
• A team player who is willing to learn and grow in dynamic school.
• A person with a positive attitude and willing to take instructions.
• Has the ability to work under minimum supervision.
