    Tracking and Safety Officer

    Job Description

    Amani Transporters and Logistics is seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Tracking and Safety Officer in our dynamic team. This role is critical to ensuring the safe and efficient transport of petroleum products. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring our fleet of trucks in real time, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and taking immediate action to address any safety or operational concerns.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Real-Time Fleet Monitoring: Use GPS tracking systems to monitor the location, speed, and status of all trucks in our fleet.
    • Safety Compliance: Ensure that all vehicles and drivers adhere to company safety policies and government regulations, including driving hours, and load limits.
    • Incident Response: Respond promptly to any emergencies or incidents involving our vehicles, coordinating with drivers and emergency services as needed.
    • Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyze tracking data to identify trends, potential risks, and areas for improvement. Prepare regular reports for management on the journey plan.
    • Driver Support: Provide guidance and support to drivers on safety practices, route optimization, and regulatory compliance.
    • Prepare Comprehensive Reports: Generate and distribute detailed reports including but not limited to: violations, incidents, driver compliance, daily trip summaries, truck status updates, and daily status reports for company-owned trucks.

    Qualifications

    • Experience: At least 2 years of experience in fleet management, logistics, or a related field, preferably within the petroleum transportation industry.
    • Education: A degree in logistics, transportation management, occupational safety, or a related field is preferred.
    • Technical Skills: Proficiency in GPS tracking systems, fleet management software, and Microsoft Office Suite. Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards in the transportation industry.
    • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with drivers, management, and external stakeholders.
    • Problem Solving: Excellent problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating risks.
    • Attention to Detail: High level of attention to detail and accuracy in monitoring and reporting
