Trade and Investment Manager - IDAS at KPMG

Position Summary

• We are currently looking for a Trade and Investment Manager to join our International Development Advisory Services team.
• This is a full-time role, and the successful candidate will be supporting our growing portfolio of trade and investment  projects and pursuits.

Key roles and responsibilities

• Manage delivery of IDAS projects in the trade and investment pillar including planning, budgeting, resource management, quality reviews, risk management, monitoring and reporting. Lead/support in developing and  implementing technical solutions.
• Manage business development activities including scoping and early intelligence, development of concept notes, expressions of interest and proposals. Maintain an awareness of key developments, trends and competitor activity in trade and investment in Africa.
• Lead and contribute to developing and nurturing relationships with existing and potential clients, project partners and other organizations.
• Support practice development, capacity building, thematic/sectoral coordination, and other initiatives.
• Ensure full compliance with KPMG's quality and risk management requirements.
• Any other tasks that shall be assigned to you.

Academic/Professional qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in international development, economics, business administration or finance, or anyother relevant field.
• Master’s degree / professional qualification in a relevant field is an added advantage.
• Minimum 6-8 years of experience in investment support with a regional or international financial institution, management consultancy firm, investment bank, or similar organization. 

Technical skills and competencies:

• Technical skills and knowledge in one or more of the following areas: Investment attraction, investment readiness support, investor engagement and facilitation, and other relevant investment advisory skills
• Strong analytical, writing and communication skills
• Understanding of global development issues
• Experience working in a complex, fast-moving environment and dealing professionally with multiple stakeholders
• Ability to build collaborative relationships with others inside and outside of the organization.
