    Warehouse Officer

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Ensure the accurate and timely recording of inventory in the warehouse management system.
    • Conduct regular stock audits and cycle counts to maintain accurate inventory levels.
    • Monitor stock levels and coordinate with procurement to avoid shortages or overstocking.
    • Supervise the receipt, inspection, and storage of goods, ensuring they meet quality and quantity specifications.
    • Coordinate the dispatch of goods, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries.
    • Prepare and maintain necessary documentation for receiving and dispatching goods.
    • Maintain an organized and clean warehouse layout to optimize efficiency and space utilization.
    • Supervise loading and unloading activities and ensure the use of proper equipment and safety protocols.
    • Implement and oversee best practices in warehouse processes, including picking, packing, and labelling.
    • Monitor employee performance and provide feedback, guidance, or corrective action as needed.
    • Plan and delegate tasks to the warehouse team, ensuring productivity goals are met.
    • Ensure that warehouse operations comply with health, safety, and security regulations.
    • Conduct regular inspections and enforce the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) by all warehouse staff.
    • Identify potential risks or hazards and implement corrective measures.
    • Prepare regular reports on stock levels, warehouse activities, and productivity metrics.
    • Maintain accurate records of all warehouse transactions and activities, including goods received, dispatched, and in storage.

    Key Qualifications:

    • Diploma or degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field.
    • Minimum of 2 years of experience in warehouse management, logistics, or a similar role.
    • Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Strong understanding of inventory control, supply chain procedures, and health and safety regulations.
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
    • High level of accuracy in inventory management and documentation.
    • Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
    • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
