    Senior Business Advisor

    Primary Purpose

    The individual will facilitate the following activities to achieve the project objectives:

    • Provide technical assistance to pilot partner banks and SACCOs in developing and implementing their digital financial strategy for the dairy sector
    • Build partnerships to address key financial service needs of dairy co-ops, processors, input SMEs and farmers (e.g. working capital, asset credit, insurance)
    • Provide technical assistance to pilot partner banks and SACCOs in extending their digital financial solutions into the informal dairy sector
    • Identify and enable opportunities to work with additional banks and SACCOs
    • Collect relevant data for monitoring and evaluation purposes and support the production of narrative reports and case studies
    Qualifications and skills
    • Degree in Marketing, Banking, ICT and/or related fields
    • Minimum 5 years relevant experience
    • Training and experience working in M4P projects a must
    • Experience working in the banking sector or in marketing
    • Track record of building and managing strong client and stakeholder relationships with private, public sector and government
    • Confident with project management and reporting
    • Excellent communication, analytical and strategy skills
    • Confident with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

    Financial Services Sales Programme Coordinator

    Responsibilities
    Managing partners
    • Being primary point of contact between Generation Kenya and delivery partners, students and employers.
    • Building and maintaining relationships with employer partners, including prospecting and onboarding of new companies.
    • Ensuring that all regulatory requirements and funder demands are met at the centre and student level.
    • Monitoring performance of delivery partner and students during bootcamp and after placement.
    Programme Coordination
    • Preparing training centres by ensuring the readiness of all classroom materials (e.g. computers, chairs, boards), utilities (e.g. electricity, internet, toilets), signage, materials for field exercises (e.g. water, detergent), etc. before the start of each program
    • Training/management of centre staff – ensuring staff (coaches, teaching assistants) are prepared before program begins, assisting them in solving problems, organising weekly staff meetings, ensuring compliance with Generation’s monitoring tools and processes.
    • Overseeing the planning and execution of youth mobilisation and screening, from supervising use of different mobilization platforms (print, social media, community mobilizers), to ensuring quality execution of screening process (information sessions, literacy/numeracy tests, 1:1 interviews, and registration)
    • Coordinating logistics of day-to-day running of programs, including distribution of programme schedule and materials to instructors and students, support of field exercise logistics, supervision of use of grading tools (scorecard and assistance tracker), etc.
    • Scheduling and managing employer presentations for candidates, organizing employer interview days, and coordinating with employers once job placements have been made
    • Maintaining database with student information and programme records before and after placement, ensuring candidate performance follow-up and maintaining contact with all alumni.
    • Solving for consistent programme and process improvement.
    Continuous improvement
    • Collecting, synthesizing and responding to feedback on the programme and the curriculum from students and employers.
    • Problem-solving on updates to curriculum and operational improvements.
    Skills / Mindset Required
    • Availability to travel outside Nairobi (especially to Mombasa).
    • Strong network of companies in Nairobi especially in the financial and banking sectors.
    • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
    • 3-5 years of direct supervisory management experience.
    • Experience preparing youth for employment.
    • Able to lead interactions and meetings with employers.
    • Do-er” mindset, with a passion for the start-up environment, fast changing priorities and achieving challenging goals.
    • Well-developed sense of attention to detail.
    • Interest in working in a fast growing organization and being an integral part of aggressive scale
    • A positive, solutions-oriented attitude, drive for excellence, and ability to be a team player.
    • This is an evolutionary role.
    This role is a full time position (40 hours a week) with an expected start date of November 15th.
    The expected minimum duration is 12 months.

    Digital Ads Sales Manager

    Duties and Responsibilities
    • Responsible for identifying, targeting, contacting and closing digital media sales with consumer product & services companies and other potential clients.
    • You must be a self-driven individual who is excited about the possibility of working with a quickly growing company. You will be able to help shape the team and the product as the company grows.
    • Prior experience in digital (video preferred) media sales and a Rolodex of consumer services/products contacts is required.
    Required Skills and Experience
    • Degree from reputable university
    • 3 or more years of work experience in media sales with an emphasis on consumer focused ad sales
    • Excellent writing skills
    • Previously being an integral part of the development and successful sales team, with responsibility for developing/acquiring new clients and managing/growing existing clients.
    • Ability to work independently, while coordinating with a team to implement media sales.
    • Passionate about technology and familiarity working with a range of mobile devices including phones, tablets, and laptops
    • Excellent familiarity with Nairobi, in particularly Eastlands
    • Strong proficiency in excel and able to quickly learn how to use new systems
    • Sales management experience is an added advantage
    • Prior experience working with advertising agencies is an added advantage
    Compensation: This is a full time position, with compensation (base + commission) commensurate with experience and contacts.
    Languages: Fluent or business-level written and spoken English and Swahili
