    Area Coaches

    Areas of Operations : Nairobi, Nakuru, Mombasa, Kisumu, Kakamega and Turkana

    • In view of this we seek to engage dedicated Coaches for the CBDP program, you will be dedicated to supporting Kenyan creatives in business development. You will work with cohorts totaling 500 individuals, providing them with the knowledge, skills, and guidance necessary to transform their creative ideas into successful businesses. You must either be a resident of the above-stated counties or show proof of work experience in the said counties and demonstrate knowledge of the local entrepreneurial ecosystem and cultural context.

    Key Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Lead training sessions, workshops, and seminars, ensuring they are engaging, interactive, and impactful.
    • Apply adult learning theories and best practices to facilitate effective training sessions.
    • Use various teaching methods and tools to enhance learning outcomes and participant engagement.
    • Implement evaluation tools to assess the effectiveness of the curriculum and training sessions.
    • Collect and analyze feedback from participants and trainers to identify areas for improvement.
    • Continuously recommend improvements to the curriculum based on feedback, industry trends, and best practices in entrepreneurship education.
    • Provide guidance and mentorship to program participants, helping them apply what they learn to their business ideas. 
    • Foster a supportive and collaborative learning environment, encouraging peer-to-peer learning and networking.
    • Address individual participant needs and challenges, offering tailored advice and support.
    • Work closely with the program management team to ensure alignment of curriculum with overall program goals and objectives.
    • Engage with industry experts, mentors, and partners to enrich the curriculum and provide additional learning opportunities for participants.
    • Represent the program at events and forums, showcasing the curriculum and its impact on creative entrepreneurship.

     Required Specifications

    • Experience in Business training and coaching 
    • Demonstrable expertise and experience in any of the following subject matters: Business Strategy, Legal, Tax, Financial Management, People and Processes, and Marketing/Communication. Please indicate the area of your expertise on your CV.
    • Has been directly involved in working with organizations or projects in the creative sector.
    • Falls under any of these categories: Youth, women,  persons with disabilities, refugees or any other disadvantaged groups
    • Bachelor’s degree in business, entrepreneurship, or a related field
    • Experience in adult/professional Training and coaching.
    • Project management skills, monitoring & evaluation experience are desirable.
    • Experience in team management.

    Area Coordinator (Project Based)

    Areas of Operation: Nairobi, Nakuru, Mombasa, Kisumu, Kakamega and Turkana

    In view of this, we seek to engage dedicated Area Coordinators for the CBDP program, you will be dedicated to providing administrative and logistical support to the project team at the County level

    Key Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Coordinate the delivery of training sessions, workshops, and seminars, ensuring they are engaging, interactive, and impactful.
    • Give administrative support to the trainers and coaches to deliver the curriculum effectively across multiple counties.
    • Promote use of diverse teaching methods and tools to enhance learning outcomes and participant engagement.
    • Implement evaluation tools to assess the effectiveness of the curriculum and training sessions.
    • Collect and analyze feedback from participants and trainers to identify areas for improvement.
    • Ensure Coaches provide guidance and mentorship to program participants, helping them apply what they learn to their business ideas. 
    • Liaison for venue and necessary equipment, materials, acquisition and set up
    • Foster a supportive and collaborative learning environment, encouraging peer-to-peer learning and networking.
    • Address individual trainer, coach or participant needs and challenges, offering tailored advice and support.
    • Work closely with the program management team to ensure the curriculum aligns with the overall program goals and objectives.
    • Engage with industry experts, mentors, and partners to enrich the curriculum and provide additional learning opportunities for participants.
    • Represent the program at events and forums, showcasing the curriculum and its impact on creative entrepreneurship.
    • Ensure quality service delivery by trainers and coaches.

     Required Specifications

    • At least a Diploma in business, entrepreneurship, economics, or a related field 
    • Minimum 2 years of experience in the creative sector, project management, administration, or related roles.
    • Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders.
    • Knowledge of the creative industries and entrepreneurship ecosystem in Kenya is preferred.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and experience with project management tools and software.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
    • Must be a resident of one of the six counties (indicate on the application the targeted County)
    • Passion for supporting entrepreneurs and driving economic development in Kenya.

    Area Trainers

You will work with cohorts totaling 500 individuals, providing them with the knowledge, skills, and guidance necessary to transform their creative ideas into successful businesses.  

    Key Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Collaborate with the coaches to deliver engaging and interactive training sessions, workshops, and seminars across the six counties.
    • Use a variety of teaching methods and tools to enhance learning outcomes and participant engagement.
    • Implement evaluation tools to assess the effectiveness of the curriculum and training sessions.
    • Collect and analyze feedback from participants and other trainers to identify areas for improvement.
    • Provide regular feedback on the effectiveness of training content, delivery methods, and participant engagement.
    • Continuously recommend improvements to the curriculum based on feedback, industry trends, and best practices in entrepreneurship education.
    • Work with coaches to provide guidance and mentorship to program participants, helping them apply what they learn to their business ideas. 
    • Foster a supportive and collaborative learning environment, encouraging peer-to-peer learning and networking.
    • Address coach or participant needs and challenges, offering tailored advice and support.
    • Work closely with the program management team to ensure the curriculum aligns with the main program goals and objectives.
    • Facilitate connections between participants and relevant industry experts, mentors, and resources.
    • Assist in tracking participant progress and success metrics
    • Cultivate relationships with key stakeholders, collaborate on joint initiatives and leverage resources to support participant growth.
    • Assist in maintaining accurate records, and preparing regular reports and presentations of training activities. 

     Required Specifications

    • One year experience in the creative sector (Fashion, Film /TV, Music performing Arts etc)
    • Experience working as a creative in any of the following Counties (Nairobi, Nakuru, Mombasa, Kisumu, Kakamega or Turkana) with knowledge of the local entrepreneurial ecosystem context.
    • Willingness and availability to learn training and coaching methodologies, including the trainer-of-trainers approach. 
    • Passion for entrepreneurship, creativity, and social impact, with a commitment to fostering innovation and economic development in Kenya.
    • At least a diploma in business, entrepreneurship, arts, or any related field 
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate diverse audiences.
    • Experience in the following subject matters is an advantage: Business Strategy, Legal, Tax, Financial Management, People and Processes, and Marketing/Communication.
    • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and build effective relationships with stakeholders.
