    Service Apprentice (4 Positions)

    JOB PURPOSE

    The purpose of the Case IH apprenticeship program is to:

    • Train next generation technicians to be highly skilled in Agri-mechanization and related fields
      • Carry out normal service and maintenance for tractor, combine harvesters, sprayers, implements and any other farm equipment.
      • Undertake detailed inspections, diagnosis and mechanical & electrical /electronics repairs in line with Case IH quality standards and procedures.
      • Prepare detailed technical reports.
      • Undertake assembly of tractors and implements from CKD or SKD Kits to the manufacturers’ and CFAO Kenya  standards.

    MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE JOB

    Operational Responsibilities

    • Attend and actively participate in both classroom and practical training sessions.
    • Learn service, maintenance and repair procedures through on-job training (OJT) by a skilled technician.
    • Learn tractor and implements assembly from CKD or SKD under guidance by trainer or skilled technician.
    • Learn use of basic tools, special tools and measuring instruments.
    • Learn use of service/workshop manuals, parts catalogues, checklists, job cards and other workshop documents.
    • Perform service, maintenance and repairs under supervision of trainer or skilled technician.
    • Perform detailed inspection and prepare defect reports under guidance by trainer or skilled technician.
    • Assure quality of work done and timely completion of assignments.
    • Keep the working area clean and organized to ensure smooth flow of work.
    • Comply with standard operating procedures (SOP) and Anzen (Safety) standards.
    • Document the training progress on the training work log and ensure periodic review by trainer or workshop supervisor.

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
    Minimum level of academic and professional  qualification required to perform effectively in the role

    • Diploma in Automotive or Plant or Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institution

    Minimum level of experience required to perform effectively in the role

    • Minimum 6 months post college working experience or proof of Industrial attachment

    Parts Counter Sales Executive Kisumu

    JOB PURPOSE

    This role is responsible for the sale of Case IH parts to achieve the set sales targets and grow the market share.

    MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE JOB

    Operational Responsibilities

    • Prepare accurate quotations to ensure customers are informed of prices and availability in a timely manner, and to assist close sales;
    • Monitor all pending quotations and aggressively follow up for order confirmation
    • Process sales invoices in a timely manner to facilitate a timely sales process;
    • Capture lost sales in the enterprise system to enhance accuracy of demand analysis and optimum stocking levels;
    • Reconcile cash sales and payments daily.
    • Follow up with credit customers to ensure timely payment for parts purchased on credit, to ensure compliance with the CFAO Kenya credit management guidelines;
    • Reorder stock from head office for parts that have been sold and advise the parts manager of parts that should be stocked in the shop.
    • Request for prompt ordering of parts for grounded tractors to enhance customer satisfaction and  ensure minimal disruption to the sales process due to stock outs;
    • Attend to goods returned by customers as per the CFAO Kenya guidelines to ensure the goods are inspected and received back into the warehouse and system in a timely manner and as per CFAO Kenya SOP;
    • Support in warehouse arrangement, perpetual and annual stock takes whenever required in-line with the CFAO Kenya SOPs;
    • Oversee proper opening and closing of the parts shop to ensure security of parts and equipment.
    • Respond to customer complaints promptly to enhance customer satisfaction and retention;
    • Participate in planning and execution of sales and marketing activities to promote sales and product awareness;
    • Prepare timely and accurate reports – Sales, GP, Lost sales, pending customer orders, pending quotations etc for management intervention and counter-measures for identified performance  gaps

    Warehouse Assistant Kisumu

    JOB PURPOSE

    This role is responsible for parts warehouse organization and perpetual stock take to support implementation of best warehousing standards and enhanced customer satisfaction

    MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE JOB

    Operational Responsibilities

    • Arrange and bin parts in respective bins
    • Dispatch of parts to customers as per SOP
    • Undertake daily perpetual stock take and provide explanations for any variances as per SOP
    • Participate in the annual stock take and assist in investigations of any variances as per SOP
    • Preparing daily reports – Pending sea/airfreight orders, pending customer orders as guided by the Inventory Analyst and Parts Manager
    • Strict adherence to SOPs and 5S standards in the warehouse
    • Undertake parts price surveys and comparison with competitors
    • Support analysis of aged stocks and arrangement of difference parts for viewing by customers
    • Assist in preparation of scraped parts lists and segregation of the approved scrap parts for disposal in accordance with SOP
    • Assist in arrangement of bulky parts at the Central Parts depot
    • Support picking of parts to fulfil customer orders as guided by Inventory Analyst and Parts Manager
    • Support in preparation of daily airfreight orders for approval
    • Participate in marketing and sales promotional activities to support displays of parts
