    Manager, Cyber Security Audit

    Key Responsibilities

    • Conduct cyber risk assessment for assigned cyber security audit and advisory assignments.
    • Perform independent threat and vulnerability assessment and penetration test audits of the bank’s ICT systems to assess the effectiveness of the cybersecurity control framework and report on cyber risks noted.
    • Conduct walkthroughs, testing of controls, and negotiating potential issues for Technology audits within the cybersecurity and infrastructure portfolio, including scope areas such as identity and access management, asset classification, network security, operating system security, database security, web application security, mobile application security, public cloud (AWS/GCP/Azure) environments, vulnerability management, endpoint protection, etc.
    • Documents the results of audit work in accordance with internal audit guidelines and the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) standards.
    • Share knowledge, skills, and experience with team members.
    • Perform other related duties as assigned.

    The Person

    For the above position, the successful applicant should meet the following criteria:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or a Related field from a university recognized by Commission for University Education.
    • Must Possess CISA/CISM/CISSP or a related Information Systems Audit / Security certification.
    • Must Possess LPT/Offensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP)/CCIE Security/CSX Practitioner/ Certified Red Team Expert (CRTE) or a related penetration testing or red team exercise certification.
    • Master's degree is an added advantage
    • A minimum 4 years' experience in IT Security and/or IT Audit covering 3 years in Cyber Security Reviews and Vulnerability Assessments and 3 years in Red Team Exercises and/or Penetration Testing Experience.
    • Must possess proficiency in using penetration testing tools e.g., Kali Linux, Nessus, Nipper, Burp suite, Metasploit framework, Wireshark, Acunetix, Netsparker, Mobsf, Frida, BeEF, Objection etc.
    • Must possess proficiency in performing security assessments on operating systems, database management systems, web applications and mobile applications. 
    • Must possess proficiency in the use of audit management software e.g., TeamMate.
    • Must possess excellent audit report writing and presentation skills.
    • Must possess excellent customer service skills, strong business analytical skills, superior communication, and inter-personal skills.
    • Must possess effective planning, organizing and problem-solving skills.

    Banking System Operations Department - Applications Support Engineer

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Collaborate with other IT staff to ensure smooth and reliable operation of software and systems for fulfilling business objectives and processes.
    • Implement and adhere to regular systems maintenance policies and procedures, including change request mechanisms and update schedules to ensure optimum uptime and service availability

    Strategy Department - Economic Research Analyst

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Manage a broad range of sources of current market information and data, including undertaking and managing periodic aspects of economic market investigations.
    • Tracking Macro-economic trends encompassing economic growth, inflation, exchange rates, interest rates, monetary trends, government finances, public debt, and current account positions.
    • Support in forecasting critical macroeconomic variables, and analyzing and characterizing future markets by assessing the current market size/growth, dynamics, key players, etc.
    • Undertake industry risk rating reviews as required for the various industries through collecting and analyzing data based on the parameters being reviewed and also provide an outlook for each industry.
    • Tracking of commercial banking performance and trends through competitor analyses for all KCB Group business entities.
    • Analyzing performance of investment banks and insurance business and tracking current trends within those industries
    • Tracking regional / global regulation and legislation that impacts on the markets in which KCB invests.
    • Support in development of econometric models to be used for forecasting to support strategy development and decision making.
    • Provide administrative support on stakeholder management for the economic research function and regular clients and stakeholders interaction on macroeconomic trends in the region.
    • Assist in preparation of the various economic reports to senior management and the various businesses within the group.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • A Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Finance or Business related from a recognized university.
    • At least 3 years' work experience in business research, including in data analysis, report writing and business presentation. Experience in use of statistical tools or software e.g. advanced MS Excel, SPSS, STATA, R, Eviews, etc. is required; certification would be an added advantage.

    Legal Counsel - Litigation

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: MUST NOT BE MORE THAN 10

    •  For the assigned portfolio of work, conduct legal research, collate evidence, prepare witnesses for pre-trial and hearing, develop concept papers, prepare legal briefs and opinions as well as develop effective defence strategies, arguments and testimony in preparation for legal proceedings of cases in liaison with external lawyers; 
    • Manage and measure external lawyers performance to ensure efficiency; 
    • Create legal awareness and providing advice on suitable action to avert and/or minimize litigation;
    • Scrutinize legal fees and ensure they are raised in accordance with the Remuneration Order and Service Level Agreement;
    • Update database of all non-debt recovery litigation to ensure the same is consistently up to-date and provide reports as may be required. 
    • Render legal guidance to Retail branches on matters relating to bank policies, processes and procedures on all queries received with a view to mitigating legal and reputational risks; 
    • Any other task as assigned.

    For the above position, the successful candidate should have the following:

    • Degree in Law (LL.B) 
    • Diploma in Law. 
    • Advocate of the High Court. 
    • 4 years post admission experience. 
    • Experience in legal drafting, corporate and commercial law, dispute resolution and legal risk management. 
    • Excellent communication and advocacy skills. 
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
