    Chinese Translator

    The Chinese Translator will be responsible for providing accurate and effective translation services to support communication between Chinese-speaking employees, vendors, and stakeholders and the factory’s management team. This role involves translating written documents, facilitating verbal communication, and ensuring that language barriers do not impede operational efficiency.
    Key Responsibilities:

    Translation Services:

    • Translate documents, including manuals, safety instructions, operational procedures, and other factory-related materials from Chinese to English and vice versa.
    • Translate spoken communications during meetings, training sessions, and operational briefings.

    Facilitation:

    • Assist in facilitating communication between Chinese-speaking staff and non-Chinese-speaking staff, ensuring clear understanding and efficient workflow.
    • Help in bridging cultural gaps and fostering a collaborative work environment.

    Documentation:

    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of translated materials.
    • Review and proofread translations to ensure quality and accuracy.

    Cultural Sensitivity:

    • Provide insights into Chinese cultural practices and norms that may impact factory operations or employee interactions.
    • Advise on culturally appropriate communication strategies.

    Training Support:

    • Assist in the translation of training materials and help conduct training sessions for Chinese-speaking employees.
    • Ensure that all safety and operational protocols are clearly communicated.

    Reporting:

    • Report any issues related to language barriers or communication challenges to management.
    • Provide feedback on translation processes and suggest improvements as needed.

    Requirements

    Education:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Translation, Linguistics, Chinese Studies, or a related field. Alternatively, significant experience in translation and language services may be considered.

    Experience:

    • Proven experience as a translator, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
    • Experience with technical or industry-specific translation is a plus.

    Skills:

    • Proficiency in both Chinese (Mandarin) and English, with strong command of grammar, vocabulary, and idiomatic expressions.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in translation.
    • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
    • Knowledge of industrial or technical terminology is advantageous.
    • Other Requirements:
    • Familiarity with translation tools and software.
    • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.

    Electrical Engineer

    Key Responsiilities

    System Design and Development

    • Design and develop electrical systems for our hydro power projects, including creating detailed electrical schematics, layouts, and single-line diagrams.
    • Perform load calculations, energy assessments, and system sizing to ensure optimal performance and reliability.

    Project Implementation

    • Assist in the installation, commissioning, and testing of electrical systems, ensuring proper integration with other project components.
    • Oversee project progress to ensure timely and quality completion, within budget constraints.

    Technical Support and Troubleshooting

    • Provide technical support during both construction and operational phases, diagnosing and resolving electrical issues in renewable energy systems.
    • Conduct performance analysis and recommend improvements to enhance system efficiency and reliability.

    Compliance and Standards

    • Ensure all electrical systems comply with relevant codes, standards, and regulations, preparing and reviewing documentation for regulatory approvals and certifications.
    • Stay current with advancements in renewable energy technologies and industry best practices to implement cutting-edge solutions.

    Collaboration and Communication

    • Collaborate closely with project managers, other engineers, and stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
    • Prepare and present technical reports, specifications, and documentation, effectively communicating technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

    Safety and Risk Management:

    • Uphold the highest safety standards in all electrical systems, conducting risk assessments and implementing mitigation strategies to promote a culture of safety within the engineering team.

    • Engage proactively with colleagues both in your team and cross functionally to make improvements and further develop the Technical Operations function.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
    • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in electrical engineering, preferably in the renewable energy industry.
    • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, renewable energy technologies, and industry standards.
    • Proficiency in electrical design software (e.g., AutoCAD, PLC, HMI ETAP, or similar tools).
    • Experience with grid connection requirements and utility-scale renewable energy projects.
    • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
    • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
    • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
    • Professional Engineering (PE) license is a plus.
    • Willingness to travel to project sites as required.

    Regional Sales Director

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Development:
    • Identification and mapping of Chinese companies operating in the EAREG countries specified above and in the key verticals supported by the countries across the region.
    • Identification of the key contacts within the target companies, reaching out to them to arrange face-to-face meetings, involving the company’s local commercial person/s, and leading the meeting.
    • Frequent travel across the region required to work with and support the in-country sales teams in terms of their mapping and approach to the Chinese companies, relaying any feedback regarding concerns over pricing or operational performance, and so on.
    • Target to secure and onboard Chinese companies across the region in terms of support from our client on the key sectors, such as IFF, Supply Chain Management, Contract Logistics, Freight Forwarding, and Customs Clearance
    • Reporting
    • Ensure regular use of the company’s CRM tool to capture all opportunities, meeting notes, and client contacts and ensure regular and accurate updates at all times.
    • Monthly reporting sent during the first week of each month gives details on the secured business, financial activity and volumes on secured business, and the sales pipeline across the region.
    • Support in preparing budgets and other presentations when required and as applicable.
    • Account Management
    • Once the business is secured to ensure clear guidelines, SOP and handover are given to the operations teams and COMs in terms the specific nature of the account, key people, rates agreed contract, and KPIs.
    • Arrange monthly business reviews with the main secured key accounts, jointly with the company’s operational teams managing the files, to ensure clear reporting of KPI’s and to ensure that the client has the opportunity to raise any concerns on the company’s operational performance and to ensure that these concerns are addressed internally.
    • To follow closely with all main accounts that the clients respect the agreed payment and credit terms and to support when applicable the company’s finance and credit control teams in following up on collection of outstanding debts.
    • To understand the operational processes in all the key counties across the region to allow clear explanation to clients and potential clients of the same, and to be part and take ownership of the operational process and where necessary build up specific internal operational desks to support Chinese activity.

    Requirements

    • Proven experience in business development, account management, or sales, preferably within logistics or supply chain sectors.
    • Strong understanding of the Chinese market and culture, with the ability to engage and build relationships with Chinese companies.
    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across multiple regions.
    • Proficiency in CRM tools and reporting.
    • Willingness to travel frequently within the region.
    • Familiarity with freight forwarding, customs clearance, and contract logistics is a plus.
