    Junior Site Engineer Intern

    Job Description:

    To provide technical, (preventative) maintenance, repairs, installation and customer service support in order adhere to agreed SLAs with clients and to maximize client satisfaction.

    Responsibilities

    • Maintenance
    • Performance Indicator
    • Execute maintenance and repairs of buildings and equipment in order to minimize ‘downtime’
    • Day-to-day surveillance of building and equipment
    • Support maintenance and repairs on buildings and equipment (e.g. generators / cooling) as scheduled by the Facility (team) manager
    • Document all maintenance and repairs made on buildings and equipment in a timely fashion
    • Co-monitor and co-direct repairs and maintenance executed by external employees and document the results
    • Monitor equipment and installations to ensure adherence to safety standards
    • Co-provide input on power usage and for capacity planning
    • Act as a first point of contact for ESC for technical requests
    • Acts as first line of response on alarms and handle or escalate alarms according to guidelines
    • Participate in the full continuous (24x7) call-out team
    • Under the co-ordination of the Customer Implementation Manager, co-install or co-supervise installation of customer equipment in the data centre and keep a complete record of the process and results

    Provide service delivery of Value Added Services (VAS)

    • Co-perform actual customer services as indicated in the client contract

    Experience, Knowledge and Expertise:

    • Secondary education in a technical field.
    • Recent graduate with an electrical engineering background
    • Qualified electrician certificate is a distinct advantage
    • Minimum of 0 – 2 years experience as a technician in an electrical or industrial environment
    • Knowledge of data centres is a distinct advantage
    • Fluent in English

    IT Manager

    Job Description

    • The role is responsible for the day to day delivery of IT services at iColo across all countries in its portfolio. This role requires both technical skills as well as management skills.  

    Responsibilities

    • Operate and continuously improve the ISO27001 and PCIDSS Information Security Management Systems. Implementation experience would be valuable.
    • Design and Participate in the business continuity planning and testing for existing and new Data Centers.
    • Participate in and drive, together with HR, user onboarding and offboarding processes.
    • Act as a an escalation point for end user support issues.
    • Communicate with network peers negotiate peering requests and negotiate bandwidth requirements for network links
    • Manage the AfriNIC relationship
    • Develop Asset management policies
    • Manage outsourced IT Services Providers
    • Identify, specify and source equipment and materials in conjunction with line manager and participate in the procurement process
    • Attain and report on specified ICT Management metrics including uptime, RTO/RPO
    • Generate Monthly IT report
    • Operationalise IT policies and ensure all users adhere
    • Discuss design and IT needs, and propose possible solutions to management
    • Maintain network and system security, develop procedures for annuals tests.
    • React promptly and correctly according to procedure to any security or misuse issues
    • Monitor networks and systems to ensure security and availability to users.
    • Evaluate, modify and report periodic systems performance to support capacity planning.
    • Identify user needs and recommend/implement necessary interventions.
    • Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs.
    • Perform regular security monitoring to identify any possible intrusions.
    • Perform all backup operations, ensuring all required file systems and system data are successfully backed up to the appropriate media, and media is recycled and sent off site as necessary and as per policies and procedures, and report in depth.
    • Investigate and troubleshoot IT issues and perform root cause analysis and report to management.
    • Prepare weekly and monthly updates on projects on going, projects complete and uptime
    • Manage and Support operations on deployment and integration of automated systems

    Requirements:

    • PCIDSS and ISO27001, and ISO Concepts in general
    • Managing teams and personnel

    • Certified in Maintenance processes
    • Hardcore commitment to transparency, ethics and honesty
    • Personnel Management Skills and Processes
    • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Business and IT, Software Engineering or related field.
    • Proven management experience minimum 5 years relevant in a busy IT driven working environment.
    • Mandatory provable experience in Vmware Vsphere and iscsi storage
    • Mandatory knowledge in enterprise switching and routing (BGP OSPF)

    Finance Director

    Key Responsibilities

    • Collaborate with the CEO to create strategic growth plans and build a well-functioning Finance team.
    • Run and coordinate annual audits, monthly reports and report on all operating entities.
    • Oversee, review, and adhere to the budgets for each business department and assist in company-wide budgetary planning
    • Ensure that all of the company's financial practices are in line in statutory regulations and legislation
    • Analyse the financial climate and market trends to assist senior executives in creating strategic plans for the future
    • Interpret complex financial information and provide updates and information as needed
    • Monitor cash flow, accounts, and other financial transactions
    • Supervise financial assistants and other employees in the facilitation of day-to-day operations, including tracking financial data, invoicing, payroll, etc.
    • Seek out methods and practices to minimise financial risk
    • Contract auditing services to ensure financial monitoring is up-to-date
    • Create and maintain relationships with service providers and contractors, including banking institutions and accountants
    • Update and implement financial policies and procedures, maintain a policy manual for the department
    • Work with human resources employees to secure candidates who will be an asset to the finance department
    • Establish and implement a training program for new finance employees.

    Required Skills & Experience

    • 15 years minimum work experience in finance
    • Audit or strategic consulting experience
    • Some work experience in a multinational company, preferably with operations in Africa
    • Advanced proficiency in accounting software tools, including Quickbooks
    • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Financial modeling expertise
    • Ability to manage a global, multi-cultural team of finance and accounting staff
    • Entrepreneurial spirit and collaborative nature, ability and drive to work independently, solution-oriented
    • Master's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or equivalent
