    Junior Clerk - CSE - Kisumu Al Imran

    Core Responsibilities

    • Welcoming customers /patients as they arrive at the reception and inquire how they would like to be assisted.
    • Addressing customers complaints at the front desk and escalating issues to the immediate supervisor whenever necessary
    • Registering patients correctly on the Health Information Systems.
    • Timely & correct billing of services rendered to clients on the relevant billing systems.
    • Relationship management with Insurance partners i.e. contacting insurance companies to verify eligibility and co-payment terms whenever necessary.
    • Assisting patients in understanding how their insurance coverage works, calculate and collect co- payments via the pay bill as per the insurance terms.
    • Follow-up with the medical staff team at the Medical Center to obtain necessary information so as to complete patients’ records and process payments for services rendered. 
    • Responding to queries from customers and insurance companies, professionally, over the phone and through emails.
    • Recording concerns for various departments and ensuring that call returns or feedback are done in a timely manner.
    • Providing necessary information regarding the medical centers’ services and availability of the relevant service required.
    • Obtaining necessary patient information on mode of payment, insurance; ensuring this is properly processed and recorded.
    • Providing feedback and information to the claims team in a bid to streamline accounting processes.

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Certificate/ Diploma in Health Records Management

    Experience

    • 1 Year in Healthcare/hospital set-up in the same role

    Community Oral Health Officer - Kisumu Al Imran

    Core Responsibilities

    • Asses dental conditions and need of patients using defined dental patient screening and monitoring procedures
    • Analyse x-rays and evaluate dental needs as necessary including medical history review and dental charting
    • Conduct, develop and mount radiographs as well as trace radiographs required for corrective treatment
    • Undertake general treatment and care for teeth and tissue problems using specified equipment and tools and established oral health procedures
    • Conduct full mouth scaling, polish and offer prophylaxis to remove plaque and stains to ensure that sterile conditions are maintained
    • Fill-in cavities, rebuild broken teeth, replace missing teeth, and remove unnecessary or severely damaged teeth
    • Treat and assist patients to prevent gum disease through the dental services 
    • Reduce simple fractures of the jaws
    • Provide patient education on dental care 
    • Develop patients’ teeth impressions for study casts/models
    • Document patient dental history and/or chief complaints and/or observations; including laboratory procedures and ensure follow up on results

    JOB REQUIREMENTS
    Minimum Qualifications

    • Diploma in Community Oral Health.
    • Registered by the oral health association of Kenya(OHAK)
    • Valid annual practice license

    Experience

    • 2 years’ experience in a similar role in a busy Hospital.

    Technical skills/Leadership competencies

    • BLS Certification

    Optometrist - Kiambu Bliss

    Core Responsibilities

    • Refraction and basic vision management
    • Examining and diagnosing ocular diseases and disorders of the visual system and associated structures
    • Examine the eyes, conduct tests and use ophthalmoscopes, bio microscopes and other specialized instruments to determine ocular health and visual efficiency
    • Prescribe and fit eyeglasses and contact lenses and assist in frame selections also recommend treatments such as exercises to correct vision or ocular disorders
    • Proper dispensing of spectacles after confirmation of prescription
    • Educate and advise patients on contact lens use and care, ocular hygiene, preventive care and maintenance, light arrangements working distances and other safety factors
    • Refer patients to ophthalmologists or other physicians and surgeons for treatment of ocular or other diseases or conditions such as cataracts, glaucoma and macular degeneration
    • Assessing, planning, implementing optical intervention and evaluating patient outcomes and providing appropriate health care service
    • Regular prescribed maintenance of optical equipment

    • Development and implementation of Standard Operating Procedures aimed at providing safe and quality healthcare to patients

    Clinical Officer - College House

    Core Responsibilities

    • Patient clinical management at Medical Centre; 
    • Diagnosis and treatment of patients by taking proper history, ordering and interpreting laboratory tests, make appropriate diagnosis and performing routine medical and surgical procedures and prescription of treatment for all patients 
    • Proper documentation of EMR (Electronic Medical records)
    • Oversee the efficient referral of patients in liaison with other departments to other practitioners for further management 
    • Provide education to the patient and relatives/caregivers.
    • Manage medical emergencies by ensuring emergency medical preparedness as the emergency team leader and ensure emergency drills are performed.
    • Duly document all Incidences and manage accordingly 
    • In conjunction with consultants, work to provide specialized care to clients.
    • Provide effective supervision to nurses including objective setting, performance management, and mentoring, enhancing clinical acumen and ensure staff productivity is optimized. 
    • Collecting, compiling and submission of accurate clinical reports and any other required documentation.

    • Diploma in Clinical medicine and Surgery
    • Registered by the Clinical officers in Kenya
    • Valid practice license

    Experience
