    HR Assistant, HR Administration

    Key Responsibilities:
    The incumbents will offer seamless support towards the provision of HR functional support.  This will include but not limited to:

    • Meeting scheduling – handling bookings, minute taking, participant confirmations.
    • Drafting all HR related correspondence using prescribed templates.
    • Support in administration of medical benefits for employees and eligible dependents.
    • Processing of resignations accepted at departmental level.
    • Support in sending triggers to Departments to facilitate preparation of contract extensions/conclusions as and when required.
    • Assist in ensuring timely confirmation of new staff on completion of probation.
    • Timely enrolment of benefits in line with institutional policy.
    • Provide support in processing pension/provident fund withdrawal forms to Jubilee Insurance.
    • Ensure that clearance forms and final letters are sent to finance in a timely manner to facilitate payment of final dues.
    • Provide support in responding to leave queries/troubleshooting.
    • Record management - filing HR correspondences on physical files and DOC-IT
    • Updating HR Quality Variance Reports before the 5th of the following month
    • Support in processing monthly pool forms
    • Support in primary source verification of academic certifications for new employees
    • Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.

    Qualifications, experience, and skills required

    • Diploma/Higher Diploma in Human Resource Management
    • 1 - 2 year’s HR administrative work experience in a busy HR set up
    • Working knowledge of the Kenyan labor laws
    • Proficiency in MS office packages
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Demonstrated excellence in organizing priorities.
    • Good customer service
    • Good analytical skills
    • Ability to work under pressure.
    • Demonstrated ability to preserve confidentiality.

    Specialist, Internal Audit

    Job Purpose/Summary

    • Reporting to the Manager Internal Audit, the job holder will carry out independent assessments of the internal control systems, review adequacy, effectiveness and adherence to policies and procedures and assess the approach to risk management as well as advising on governance practices in the institution.

    Key Roles and responsibilities:

    • Execution of annual audit plan while ensuring all audit assignments are assigned to staff in the department and completed in time
    • Facilitate the development of audit team members by providing on the job training and recommending formal training to support Internal Audit activities.
    • Monitor and update the audit universe and plan to address emerging key risks identified during audits or business changes
    • Collaborate with and obtain positive overall feedback from auditees on planning, execution, communication, and auditee involvement in the audits.
    • Perform continuous review of working papers and files to ensure compliance to the Audit Methodology, Best Practice and IPPF Standards.
    • Coordinate performance of internal Peer reviews with the team to enable continuous improvement of audit work
    • Perform specialized Fraud and IT Audit engagements as assigned from time to time.  Act as Team Lead in delivery and quality review of complex specialized audits such as IT Audits, Forensic/Fraud investigations, and complex cross-functional and multi-location engagements.
    • Ensuring audit assignments are carried out in line with AKU methodology and observing professional standards
    • Provide practical and proactive audit recommendations that are discussed and agreed on with management
    • Follow up with management to ensure audit recommendations are implemented
    • Assist in reviewing performance of staff on a regular basis to ensure their work is professionally tenable
    • Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time

     
    Required Qualifications, skills and Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business or IT fields.
    • CPA /ACCA finalist
    • CISA certification
    • Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) and Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) certifications will be an added advantage.
    • Must have good background in IT
    • 8 years’ work experience, 5 of which should be at supervisory level
    • Relevant experience of utilizing and developing Data Analytics techniques for investigations.
    • Proven hands-on experience in fraud investigations of financial or data intensive environments for a minimum period of 5 years.
    • Proven experience with forensic investigative tools such as Autopsy, Passware, and maintenance of chain of custody in the same.
    • Experience in Database audits and Analytics for SQL and Oracle databases.
    • Knowledgeable in identifying indicators of fraud through data mining and analytical exercises.
    • Should possess strong investigative and project management skills.
    • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills in order to communicate effectively with all levels of employees.
    • Should have a desire to learn and understand institutional inter-operations and apply that knowledge to assist management in improving organizational controls and procedures.
    • Ability to maintain high standards of confidentiality and to work with a high degree of integrity.
    • Must be ready or available to travel for audit assignments

    Quality Advisor, Outreach Administration Office

    Responsibilities:

    • Coordinate development/review of quality and patient safety policies, procedures, and processes
    • Guide the interpretation and implementation of developed policies and procedures in the context of the quality and patient safety framework
    • Constantly be involved in the training and communication of quality and patient safety issues and standards/best practice throughout the assigned areas
    • Review accreditation and regulatory agencies survey /internal quality audit findings and support the development and implementation of corrective/preventive action plans to address non-compliance
    • Direct and support the collection, measurement and presentation of data required for monitoring and improving quality and patient safety
    • Lead Outreach Division in conducting Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for sentinel and adverse events
    • Identify opportunities for Continuous Quality Improvement and support the implementation of CQI activities in Outreach Division
    • Support clinic leaders in identification of relevant utilization management indicators
    • Create department and physician-based data bases for identified utilization management indicators
    • Continuously audit compliance with the quality and safety program in assigned areas
    • Coordinate closure of matters arising from physician feedback for improved physician satisfaction and participation
    • Provide clinical support to corporate clients via care managers

     
    Requirements:

    • Minimum of an undergraduate degree in a Medical/clinical field; a Master’s degree in Business or Health related field preferred.
    • Health Management background would be an added advantage
    • Three or more years’ experience in direct and indirect clinical care activities in a healthcare institution
    • In-depth understanding of good clinical practice requirements
    • Have strong experience and knowledge of clinical monitoring functions with knowledge of clinical research
    • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks
    • Excellent data analytical and presentation skills
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
