    Inventory Officer

    JOB PURPOSE

    The job holder is responsible for ensuring swap stock availability at the warehouse, by refurbishing and systems transfers of M-KOPA faulty products returned including solar televisions, solar control units, smartphones, and other assorted accessories, to restore them to a sellable condition following set quality standards. 

    KEY JOB FUNCTIONS

    • Carry out refurbishing of M-KOPA products by work such as painting, repairing, and cleaning
    • Carry out system repairs and transfer of all repaired products in an accurate and timely manner and keep records of the refurbished products daily
    • Packaging M-KOPA products as part of the ready-for-sale process 
    • Maintain accurate inventory records of all products handled by the team using the available inventory systems used by the team (e.g., Dynamics (Electronic Activity Book) B, etc.) 
    • Keep spare parts inventory, cycle count, and reconciliation as well as raise requisitions for depleted stocks
    • Attain proper waste management practices by disposing of and keeping records of all obsolete items
    • Conduct periodic stock counts of all M-KOPA products in the warehouse
    • Adherence to set Kaizen 6S principles
    • Meet the daily set targets of refurbished products per day to ensure the required swap stock is availed 

    EXPERIENCE/ SKILLS & COMPETENCIES/ LICENCES & CERTIFICATIONS/ EDUCATION REQUIRED

    • Education: Basic skills in Inventory Systems (e.g., Dynamics 365 among others) and Microsoft applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) 
    • Experience: A minimum of 1 year of experience in Inventory systems and Microsoft applications 
    • Good attitude towards acquiring new knowledge
    • Able to work under pressure and tight datelines
    • Self-motivated and able to work without supervision
    • Good interpersonal skills

    Repairs Technician

    JOB PURPOSE

    The job holder is responsible for ensuring swap stock availability by conducting technical repair and testing of M-KOPA faulty products returned to the warehouse, including solar-powered Televisions, solar control units, smartphones, and other assorted accessories. 

    KEY JOB FUNCTIONS

    • Carrying out component analysis of solar control boxes, solar-powered televisions, customized connecting cables, bulbs, torches, solar panels, and smartphones 
    • Carry out the initial screening and quality checks of all M-KOPA faulty devices to identify product failure reasons
    • Carry out technical repairs of all M-KOPA products using hand tools and power tools  
    • Consistently advancing technical knowledge, especially on new product entries and discovery of new fault codes
    • Testing and inspecting products after repair to identify possible problems that could lead to future product failures
    • Product refurbishment and “making new” of all repaired products before dispatch to retail outlets
    • Maintaining equipment by performing regular maintenance checks, replacing parts, or performing repairs to repair equipment such as hand tools and power tools 
    • Diagnosing problems with repair equipment and making recommendations for repair or replacement 
    • Ensure accurate data capture and tracking of all repaired units, fault codes, and resolutions in a timely manner
    • Conducting periodic cycle counts and monthly stock counts
    • Adherence to set Kaizen 6S principles 
    • Meet the daily set targets of repair products per day to ensure the required swap stock is availed 

    EXPERIENCE/ SKILLS & COMPETENCIES/ LICENCES & CERTIFICATIONS/ EDUCATION REQUIRED

    • Education: A minimum Diploma in electronics engineering 
    • Experience: 1 year of professional experience in electronics engineering with relevant repairs experience 
    • Ability to communicate technical information on a regular basis, both verbally and in writing 
    • Well-versed with the various systems, tools, and procedures used in testing & failure analysis   
    • Experience in using or a desire to learn the required software
    • Good attitude towards acquiring new knowledge 
    • Able to work under pressure and tight datelines 
    • Self-motivated and able to work independently 
    • Good Interpersonal skills 
    • Hands-On experience working with embedded systems
