    Administrative Assistant 1, (Construction Project Intern)

    Job Description

    • This position is primarily for educational or religious purposes and should be used for providing valuable educational experiences for the Intern. It is to give the Intern an opportunity to see how principles and practices learned in their educational institutions are applied in actual work setting. Under general supervision, The construction project Intern will be engaged on a six months fixed term non renewable contract and reports to the Construction Project Manager.

    Responsibilities

    • Assist in Construction Project Planning and Scopes
    • Assist in Preparing project management plans for each construction project you are assigned to.
    • Assist in Preparing projects schedule and develops milestones necessary to successfully complete the project in concert with the project Contractors.
    • Assist in Monitoring Project Costs and Budgets:
    • May assist in the preparing project cost estimates
    • Assist in Preparing project budgets and unit cost reports.
    • Participates in monthly job cost reviews to declare project status.
    • Assist in Organizing and conducting pre-award and pre-construction meetings
    • Assist in developing and monitoring project quality, safety, and risk management plans.
    • Assist in Evaluating project schedules as necessary to meet milestones.
    • Assist in preparing and organizing all project documents e.g. BOQs and Construction drawings.
    • Assist in managing assigned projects
    • Must be worthy of a Temple Recommend

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree/Diploma in Civil engineering, construction management or Architecture,
    • Has basic knowledge of commercial construction processes and construction laws and practices, which includes understanding building codes, design plans, construction drawings, and specifications for a given project.
    • Ability to use Software programs like Bluebeam, Revit, AutoCAD etc
    • Good knowledge of project estimating concepts to the level required to verify bids, to understand market rates, and to understand how to process change orders, etc.
    • Ability to use contractual language and concepts and how to negotiate to protect the Church's interests while providing quality service to department customers.
    • Demonstrates the ability to professionally present self through in-person interactions and verbal and written communications.
    • Demonstrates the ability to effectively work independently and as a team member to achieve organizational and customer goals.
    • Progress towards Certification in Civil Engineering or Architecture will be an added advantage.

    Administrative Assistant 1- (Real Estate Specialist Intern)

    Job Description

    • This position is primarily for educational or religious purposes and should be used for providing valuable educational experiences for the Intern. It is to give the Intern an opportunity to see how principles and practices learned in their educational institutions are applied in actual work setting. Under general supervision, the Intern performs work as assigned by the department. The Intern will be engaged on a six months fixed term non renewable contract and reports to the Real Estate Project Manager.

    Responsibilities

    • Assist in Obtaining and processing of transactional reports (e.g. surveys, appraisals, professional engineering reports, legal and title documents), assist in problem resolution to facilitate the timely management of various real estate processes, prepare legal transaction documents, assemble feasibility and due diligence studies and reports in preparation to obtain internal approvals and submit to closing, accurately enter and maintain data, prepare and maintain records; interface with internal customers (Directors, DTA's, Managers) professional consultants (attorneys, engineers, architects, administrators), and project management report meetings.
    • Assist in Receiving and logging of customer work orders, prepare project files and track real estate processes, maintain data tracking systems, monitor deadlines and document performance commitments, monitors and prints monthly progress reports.
    • Assist in Preparing and processing documentation for Budget & Appropriation Committee approval, obtains from authorized Church agents and other parties prerequisite signatures and prepare and process closing packages. 10% - Respond professionally, courteously, and accurately to inquiries from management, customers and consultants.
    • Takes direction from REM, REPM 1, 2 and 3
    • Must be worthy of a Temple Recommend

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree/Diploma in one of the following disciplines: real estate support to a broker or developer, title or legal service organizations, institutional real estate departments or property management firms
    • Proficiency with databases and Microsoft Office Outgoing team player with the ability to efficiently manage multiple tasks in time sensitive environment.
    • Ability to use contractual language and concepts and how to negotiate to protect the Church's interests while providing quality service to department customers.
    • Demonstrates the ability to professionally present self through in-person interactions and verbal and written communications.

    Temple Recorder

    Job Description

    Under the direction of the temple president, the recorder ensures that all temple ordinances are properly performed and accurately recorded and oversees personnel, and financial matters.  The temple recorder assists the temple presidency with the ongoing daily operational matters. The recorder works closely with the temple presidency to ensure patrons have an uplifting experience each time they come to the temple. He gives general direction to administrative areas, the laundry, and patron housing where applicable. The temple recorder partners with the temple facilities manager who oversees engineering, grounds, housekeeping, and the operation and maintenance of computer and audiovisual equipment. He oversees recruitment of volunteers, and authorizes many temple purchases. He is an expert in Church ordinance and sealing policies, and is an adviser to the temple presidency on temple policy situations.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field is required.
    • Strong administrative skills with several years of supervisory and management experience.
    • Must be fluent in English and second language(s) helpful.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Exceptional people skills.
    • Church management skills are helpful, especially with temple and family history work.  Previous experience as an ordinance worker is very helpful.
    • Must have ecclesiastical leadership and experience.
    • Basic knowledge of temple ordinances and operational procedures.
