    Intern- Aviation Technical Library

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Assisting with Collection Management: Supporting the organization and maintenance of aviationrelated resources, including Manuals, OEM Service Information, and databases. Assisting in the evaluation and acquisition of new materials. Research Support: Helping users in locating documents for aircraft Maintenance and Operations.
    • Cataloging and Classification: Assisting with the cataloging of new documentations and ensuring they are properly classified for easy access.
    • Learning and applying library classification standards. User Assistance: Providing frontline assistance to library patrons, including answering questions and guiding them to resources.
    • Conducting orientation sessions for new users on how to access aviation resources.
    • Technology Management: Helping maintain the library's digital resources and databases.
    • Assisting with the management of library software and tools. 6.Administrative Tasks: Performing general administrative duties as needed, such as shelving Internal and External documentation, updating records, and managing inventory.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Education : Currently pursuing or recently completed a diploma/degree in library science (MLS or MLIS) or a related field.
    • A background in aviation, aerospace engineering, or a similar area is desirable but not mandatory.
    • Knowledge: Basic understanding of library management systems and cataloging
    • Familiarity with aviation regulations, technical documents, and industry standards can be beneficial.
    • Skills: Strong research and analytical skills.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and library database systems.
    • Good communication and interpersonal skills for assisting library users.
    • Experience: Previous experience in a library or information management role is helpful, but not always required.
    • Personal Attributes: Detailoriented with strong organizational skills.
    • Willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic environment.

    Intern- Aircraft Technical Records & Planning

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Documentation Management: Assisting in the organization and maintenance of aircraft technical records and logs. Ensuring all records are accurate and uptodate, including maintenance, repair, and modification documents.
    • Regulatory Compliance: Supporting the team in ensuring compliance with aviation regulations and standards (e.g.. KCAA, FAA, EASA).
    • Assisting in audits and inspections as required.
    • Data Entry and Analysis: Entering data into maintenance tracking systems and databases.
    • Analyzing records for trends or discrepancies and reporting findings to supervisors.
    • Collaborations Working with maintenance teams to gather necessary documentation and clarify technical details. Assisting in communication between engineering, maintenance, and regulatory departments.
    • Record Retrieval: Assisting in retrieving historical records and documents for maintenance and regulatory purposes. Supporting the preparation of records for audits or investigations.
    • Support Tasks: Performing general administrative tasks related to technical records management.
    • Participating in training sessions or meetings to enhance knowledge of technical recordkeeping

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Education: Pursuing or completed a certificate course in aircraft Maintenance engineering, or a related field. Diploma/Degree in Aeronautical Engineering is an added advantage.
    • Knowledge: Understanding of aviation regulations and standards (e.g. KCAA, FAA, EASA).
    • Familiarity with technical documentation and recordkeeping practices.
    • Skills: Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Proficiency in using computer software (e.g, Microsoft Office, aviation maintenance software).
    • Good communication skills for interacting with maintenance teams and regulatory bodies.
    •  Experience: Any previous internships or experience in aviation, maintenance, or technical documentation is a plus. Personal Attributes: Ability to work in a team environment. Willingness to learn and adapt to a fastpaced industry.
