    Segment Marketing Manager

    DESCRIPTION

    • We are pleased to announce the vacancy for Segment Marketing Manager within Consumer Business Unit.  In keeping in line with our current business needs, we are looking for a person who meets the criteria below.

    Brief Description

    • Reporting to the Segment Lead- HOME, the role holder will be responsible for;
    •  Driving transformation of our business by establishing Safaricom HOME as the online lifestyle converger for the entire family to accelerate innovation and spur revenue growth.
    •  Delivering an integrated family proposition, communicate in compelling ways, consistently engage and delight the family with experiences tied to their passion points.

    Key Responsibilities

    •  To help design and execute the overall HOME strategy based on customer insights to drive quality acquisition that will increase the segment size, revenue, profitability and deliver NPS #1.
    •  Co-create the annual HOME platform plan with key stakeholders with clear growth drivers to be executed quarterly focusing on the 4 transformative pillars: Acquisition, Communication, Engagement and Experience.
    •  Drive factual and insight led conversations and decisions on HOME across the entire Organization.
    •  Initiate and generate innovative ideas for each of the 4 transformative pillars above.
    •  Design and bring to life GTM activities tied to the HOME strategy along with channels and product teams.
    •  Provide inputs on pricing and product development based on consumer insights to Product, Finance and Strategy team.
    •  Review and shape the communication strategy and plans working closely with brand team, media and advertising agency to ensure that all ATL & BTL communication is in line with the HOME positioning and strategy.
    •  Ensure consistent and proactive tracking, measurement and evaluation of activities, HOME performance to deliver on mission and commercial targets.
    •  Manage budgets efficiently, ensure positive ROI with no overspend to deliver on the HOME objectives.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    •  A degree in marketing, business administration.
    •  6 years + experience in Product/Category/Brand Marketing roles.
    •  Experience in marketing Home/Family solution.
    •  Strong creative and conceptual skills.
    •  Attention to detail with excellent interpersonal and communications skills.
    •  Self-Starter, excellent planner and organizer.

    Senior Manager - Segment - HOME

    Brief Description

    • Reporting to the Tribe Lead - Segment Marketing, the role holder will be responsible for;
    • Driving transformation of our business by establishing Safaricom HOME as the online lifestyle converger for the entire family to accelerate innovation and spur revenue growth.
    • Leading the strategy and overseeing the execution of an integrated Home platform, communicate in compelling ways, consistently engage and delight the family with experiences tied to their passion points.
    • Being a custodian of the HOME portfolio, you will be responsible to lead an end-to-end insight led Home Marketing team to acquire, grow and retain customers and efficiently manage the P&L.

    Key Responsibilities

    • End to end accountability of Home platform from insights and foresights development, relevant family proposition and customer journeys.
    • Responsible for segment NPS, Brand love, consideration, and revenue.
    • Clear roadmap for the Home portfolio to deliver on mission KPIs.
    • Ownership of Home GTM strategy and publicity opex while driving efficiency to deliver maximum ROI value.
    • Manage the agency creative development process and resourcing levels required for Safaricom to ensure delivery of above the line, and below the line advertising materials for execution.
    • Stakeholder management across the business to deliver brilliant executions for the benefit of the HOME customer and the business.
    • People responsibility for the squad to ensure team members and ready, willing and able to deliver the mission.  

    QUALIFICATIONS

    •  A degree in marketing, business administration.
    •  Demonstratable experience in driving a Home/Family platforms/proposition successfully.
    •  10 years’ experience in a Marketing role
    •  Strong leadership skills
    •  Strong creative and conceptual skills.
    •  Attention to detail with excellent interpersonal and communications skills.
    •  An excellent planner and organizer.

    Cyber Defense Center Analyst

    DESCRIPTION

    • We are pleased to announce the position of a Cyber Defense Center Analyst in the Cyber Security Department within the Corporate Security Division. Reporting to the Team Leader – Cyber Defense Center (CDC) the successful candidate will lend support in Cyber threat detection, working in 24/7 shifts, providing eyes-on-the-glass service at the Safaricom CDC, performing real-time monitoring and identification of security incidents. He/She will help identify suspicious activity, open incident investigation tickets and escalate any key concerns to Level 2/3 analysts for additional analysis & communication.
    • The Cyber Defense Center (CDC) team is responsible for monitoring, investigating and defending Safaricom Information Systems. The team continuously develops and investigates correlated security event feeds, escalating any identified security incidents. They are the primary contact for any suspected security incidents, working together with remediation teams, resolving incidents and foiling Cyber Security threats against the Safaricom Brand.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Work in 24*7 shifts performing real time monitoring of security alerts generated by various security tools deployed by Safaricom.
    • Serves as a primary point of contact for reporting potential security incidents.
    • Validate, classify and open tickets for security incidents.
    • Analyze and assess security alerts and escalate to Level 2/3 analysts for further investigations and communication.
    • Document security incidents as identified by the case management process.
    • Provide feedback on enhancing the operations of the cyber security operations Centre.
    • Respond to generated security alerts within the time window as defined in procedural SLAs.
    • Pick out potential intrusions from seemingly benign sets of audit logs or security alerts.
    • Triage (primary investigation) of detected security alerts and make necessary escalation decisions.
    • Escalation to appropriate teams, follow ups and provide assistance during remediation.

     
    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering/Computer Science/IT Security/Information Technology
    • 3 months working experience in a Cyber Security Operations Center? Or at least 1 year working experience in a Busy IT Security Environment
    • Knowledge of common SIEM solutions, the purpose of them and an understanding of how they work
    • Knowledge of common network protocols such as TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS, etc.
    • Experience with Microsoft Windows and *NIX operating systems is required.
    • Knowledge and/or experience with common security tools such as anti-virus, Intrusion Prevention Systems and Firewalls is an added advantage
    • Knowledge and/or experience with Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS) – Oracle, MS SQL, My SQL, Pervasive SQL is an added advantage
    • Good communication and presentations skills are required
    • Enthusiasm, curiosity, thirst for knowledge and passion for the job is required
