    Payroll Accountant

    We are looking for a highly capable payroll accountant to manage our payroll system. In this role, your duties will include ensuring accurate salary payments, calculating overtime earnings, and updating employee hiring or termination information on the payroll system.

    To ensure success as a payroll accountant, you should demonstrate knowledge of applicable tax laws and ideally have experience in a similar role. A first-class payroll accountant will be detail-oriented and someone who can accurately and timely process salaries.

    Payroll Accountant Responsibilities

    • Preparing ledger entries with earnings and deductions.
    • Entering payroll information and maintaining payroll files.
    • Calculating salaries, overtime earnings, and vacation deductions.
    • Issuing paychecks on time.
    • Generating payroll reports for Managers to review.
    • Updating payroll systems, including employment hires and terminations.
    • Preparing payroll and tax reports for any government agencies when required.
    • Attending payroll inquiries from employees.
    • Manage attendance reports, and payroll processing and oversee all account managers to ensure accurate and efficient results.
    • Communicate with all new employees to explain payroll and timekeeping procedures, benefits information, and tax withholding details, and to create profiles and settings in payroll software programs.
    • Oversee implementation of new payroll and timekeeping software, including meeting with IT professionals for intensive training sessions and helping all payroll personnel learn to use the new system correctly.
    • Assist in payroll calculations, changes, and deductions.
    • Reconciling and filing of all the statutory payments (NSSF, NHIF, PAYE etc) with their respective authorities on time.
    • Calculate taxes and file returns based on KRA regulations.
    • Process payroll on a timely basis and ensure compliance with current tax legislation.
    • Accurate preparation of payroll reports to the Kenya Revenue Authority as per set timelines.
    • Analyze payroll issues and provide action plans.
    • Generate monthly payroll reports for review by managers
    • Address payroll inquiries from employees on time.
    • Accurate computation and calculation of termination dues for employees leaving the organization.
    • Conduct payroll audits and liaise with both internal and external auditors.
    • Handle and respond to discrepancies and queries relating to payroll.
    • Calculate and process accurate payments to employees by cash, cheque, or electronic transfer, ensuring strict deadlines are met.
    • Issue relevant tax forms.
    • Process new documentation for starters and leavers

    Requirements

    • An associates or bachelors degree in accounting.
    • Fundamental Payroll Certification CPA K
    • A minimum of two years experience as a Payroll Accountant, or in a similar role.
    • Proficiency in Payroll Software.
    • Extensive experience in preparing ledger entries and processing payments.
    • In-depth knowledge of applicable tax laws.
    • Experience in preparing payroll and tax reports, as well as answering payroll inquiries.
    • Ability to maintain and update employees payroll files.
    • Excellent organizational and communication skills.

    Sales Manager - Renewable/ Solar

    As a Sales manager, you will lead the sales team, strategy, and execution. You will develop annual and quarterly sales planning, build and lead a high-performing operational and sales team, grow the client’s sales channels and be responsible for overall sales targets.

    Responsibilities

    Lead the client’s strategic planning for sales operations and distribution including

    • Driving sales strategy and direction in Kenya
    • Leading sales forecasts, demand planning and revenue across all channels
    • Defining operational plans for sales team and ensuring continuous improvement
    • Securing the budgeting process tied to overall P&L targets

    Lead sales channel and retail management including.

    • Leading sales development performance and intervention across all channels
    • Growing retail partnerships distribution and increasing sales share of existing channels
    • Strengthening key account relationships at the management level with the client’s partners
    • Tracking and analyzing sell-out across all channels in collaboration with the client’s business intelligence and data teams

    Lead sales force management including;

    • Managing direct field force and promoters in indirect channels including recruitment, training, coaching performance management and budgeting
    • Overseeing and monitoring performance of field sales managers
    • Defining KPI’s across sales teams, developing operational reporting and supporting target achievement
    • Structuring and implementing incentive and commission programs for agents and sales teams tied to key business objectives
    • Ensuring all sales agents and managers are fully trained on sales methods and processes for customer onboarding and escalation.

    Lead go to work planning for sales including;

    • Executing route to market plans for all products across all sales channels and marketing segment
    • Ensuring brand visibility across all channels, managing and overseeing promotional activities
    • Responsible for executing merchandising, branding and sales assets, working in collaborating with the client’s marketing teams
    • Identifying trends in the market to assist and enhance marketing executions

    Drive customer growth and retention, including;

    • Defining and monitoring business milestones and activations plans based on agreed annual and quarterly targets.
    • Aligning sales goals and processes to ensure strong customer credit performance repayment.

    Requirements

    • Five (5+) years of experience in sales, preferably working in electronic device sales, FMCG or financial services, with the capability for strategic decision making and demonstrated business.

    • Proven ability to build and manage a network of field teams and regional representative and support functions in a comparable industry.
