    Senior Manager - Retail

    Key Duties and Responsibilities:

    Provide excellent customer facing touch point to potential, new and existing customers through:

    • Marketing: Managing M-KOPA brand assets across the retail footprint in Kenya, including providing timely and accurate information to customer enquiries. Oversee the execution of all marketing activations at the shop level (both ATL & BTL).
    • Sales: Support and execute sales activities for both acquisition and upgrade sales across all product categories.
    • Customer Care: Provide 1st hand customer care support for walk in customers, not limited to troubleshooting, repairs, returns and replacements.
       

    Provide efficient and effective operations support:

    • Agents Care: To manage stock receipts, allocations, returns and audit for both sales and service agent.
    • Stock Management: Design, implement and monitor stock handling policies and processes to support sales, servicing, returns and repairs. Also, work closely with the global teams to undertake defined stock audits to ensure all channel stock can be accounted for.
    • Logistics: Working closely with Fargo courier who is our sole logistics service provider, and to oversee logistics discrepancy management across forward and reverse logistics.
    • Drive 5s across all shops/locations.
    • Retail footprint management and oversight across the country in close collaboration with our service provider Fargo.

    To provide day to day management and oversight to M-KOPA’s retail footprint across the country, including developing and managing existing retail partnerships.

    Drive EHS guidelines at the shops including maintaining a strict adherence to COVID safety guidelines.

    What We’re Looking For:

    • You’re passionate about our mission to finance progress.
    • Proved track record and experience in retail management, inventory management, returns management, customer service and third-party contract management.
    • Preference for candidates with advanced analytical and statistical skills with excellent command in excel and data visualization tools (e.g. Looker, PowerBI, Tableau).
    • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work across geographies, cultures, functions and seniorities.
    • Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and manage own time with changing priorities in an agile environment.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills with a willingness to go the extra mile to assist other team members.
    • Strong ability to manage and provide excellent leadership and drive accountability to a diverse and distributed team

    Finance Analyst

    Key Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Produce monthly finance packs which are relevant and reflect KPIs that drive business performance.
    • Understand and interpret financial models to help the business understand the impact of financial decisions.
    • Deliver deep financial analysis in specific areas of the business and specific cost types.
    • Be the “go-to” person for senior management in relation to finance matters.
    • Lead the annual budgeting process end to end for your teams and challenge assumptions made during the budgeting cycle.
    • Approve purchase requests.
    • Provide understanding and insight to the Finance team as part of the monthly cost center reviews, to explain any variances against the budget and prior months.

    Job Requirements.

    • Bachelors’ degree and Accountancy qualification e.g. CPA
    • Proven work experience as a Finance Analyst or similar role.

    • Are excited to deeply understand the financial workings of the business.

The finance team comprises great individuals who all come together as a team to provide first class support to our colleagues.     Reverse Logistics Officer.

    Key Responsibilities.

    • Ensuring the accurate and timely overall reverse logistics delivery, receipt, processing, and documenting of stock return.
    • Provide correspondence to other departments e.g., fraud, field customer care and field audits on status of returned stock .
    • Participate in inventory cycle counting and reconciliation processes.
    • Execute disposition of aging, obsolete, defective stock.
    • Maintain and update reverse logistics data in Dynamics 365, M-Kopa-net, EAB & Offline Trackers.
    • Ensure swap availability at Fargo/Main warehouse ready for dispatch i.e., initiate system repairs of stock and ensure system transfers of stock to Fargo is done.
    • Produce various periodic and ad hoc reports including aging/disposal report, Customer allocated devices report, weekly swap device report.

    Key Job Requirements

    • Must be a holder of a Diploma in Stores /Warehouse management.
    • Must have at least 2 years’ work experience in a similar position.
    • Experience in using inventory management systems is required.
    • Must be proficient in excel.

    Talent Acquisition Business Partner (Remote, Anywhere)

    To achieve this, you’ll be expected to:

    • Act as a representative of the M-KOPA HR and TA team, driving confidence and reliance on these teams for advice and best practice
    • Lead on the transactional, end-to-end recruitment process for all Technology roles, from requisition approval to offer, taking ownership of M-KOPA’s ATS system and candidate relationships
    • Work with our agency partnerships to ensure effective relationships, sharing the internal knowledge to enhance our partners ability to source the best candidates
    • Actively recruit from the active and passive market in accordance with business strategy, through methods such as headhunting, referrals, and developing talent pools, ensuring a consistent pipeline of high caliber talent
    • Source a highly diverse pool of candidates, in line with our internal diversity metrics, through pro-active sourcing and establishing positive recruitment practices, whilst ensuring that M-KOPA is compliant with diversity regulations
    • Negotiate competitive offers and ensure that our benefits package and salaries are sufficient within the global market, collaborating with the wider HR team to ensure internal bandings are accurate
    • Develop uniform global recruitment materials and practices for M-KOPA, such as selection matrixes and advertisement materials, that can be adopted by the global HR team, and form part of our global recruitment strategy
    • Collaborate with the wider global and regional HR teams on various tasks, such as ensuring successful onboarding of new candidates, continuous improvement projects, and internal policies
    • Develop M-KOPA’s employer brand and presence in the global Technology market to become an Employer of choice
    • Contribute to the global recruitment strategy, and support regional HR teams to develop market related sourcing strategies
    • Focus on reducing recruitment costs, evaluating recruitment methods, whilst ensuring that the recruitment of top-level talent is not impacted
    • Build stakeholder relationships and provide advisory support to managers, ensuring all are trained and comfortable with the recruitment process, and acting within best practice and aligned to M-KOPA’s strategy and value
    • Support our senior leadership teams and HRBPs evaluate talent and develop workforce plans in conjunction with wider organizational strategy, to ensure current and future talent needs are met
    • Act as source of knowledge and advise on the global tech market and employment regulations, providing valuable insights and analysis, and considering future predictions
    • Assist on adhoc projects as needed

    You Might Be A Good Fit If…

    • You are a confident and clear communicator, comfortable with building relationships and adapting your approach to a variety of stakeholders
    • You are organized and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, with a proactive nature
    • Have a strong understanding of employment law and best practice, in particular, focused on sourcing and recruitment
    • You are an experienced recruiter, understanding and completing the full end-to-end recruitment process and all related administration, as well as having experience of headhunting within passive markets
    • You are familiar with an applicant tracking systems, with Lever experience being desirable although not essential
    • You are comfortable using all Microsoft packages, including outlook, teams and word
    • You are experienced working alongside agencies, and have an open-minded approach to working alongside agencies as part of our recruitment strategy
    • You have extensive experience, and a passion, for the Technology market, with a developed network within this space and experience of alternative recruitment methods to engage this market
    • You have experience recruiting challenging roles and in a high-volume environment
    • You have recruited globally, and understand the associated challenges such as developing diverse talent pools
    • You are collaborative, with strong communication skills, and enjoy working in large teams, including contributing to global HR teams
    • You have led on recruitment strategies in previous roles, including areas such as employer branding, recruitment materials and policies, workforce planning, and developing internal bandings and packages
    • You are enthusiastic about project work and taking on leadership roles within this

    This position will report tothe Head of Talent Acquisition and can be based anywhere where possible to work within a time zone -1/+3 hours UTC.
