    Manager Relationship Private Banking

    JOB PURPOSE

    To provide Private Clients of the region with full product agnostic relationship management and excellence of service within a responsive controlled environment.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITES

    • Generate new business opportunities in the Kenyan market for the onshore and offshore businesses
    • Meet agreed revenue targets
    • Meet global service/experience standards of Standard Bank HNW Clients through ownership of the relationship and by providing a single point of entry for the client into HNW Clients and Group offerings
    • Take accountability for client profitability on a product agnostic basis (ie across the clients’ portfolio of products)
    • Coordinate and execute an appropriate client contact plan and ensure coordination with broader marketing and events
    • Identify and manage business risks for Standard Bank by ensuring that standards, regulations and required processes are adhered to
    • Provide appropriate advice to clients on products and service offerings and ensure that these are packaged and structured to minimise risk to protect the interest of both parties. Collaborate with product specialists (both onshore and offshore)
    • Broaden client relationships within the Group through introductions and facilitation of business flows through CIB, BCC and Liberty as appropriate.
    • Represent Standard Bank HNW Clients in a professional manner, help build its profile and reputation as a high quality service, with a focus on maintaining long-term relationships with clients

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Appropriate financial or investment degree
    • Proven track record in the financial services industry, preferably with relationship management experience in Private Clients, Business Banking or Investment Banking.

    Team Leader Administration - Rehabilitation & Recoveries

    JOB PURPOSE

    Manage and control the arrears portfolio in respect of IPF that are showing extreme distress or delinquency so as to facilitate the rehabilitation of customer arrears , or take the necessary steps to minimize the bank losses by terminating insurance policies in a timely manner and realise the highest possible value whilst ensuring that there is zero tolerance for IPF provision.
    To attend to all administrative functions emanating from the Debt Management and Credit Control Officers from the rehabilitation of customers in arrears in the pre lock-up categories.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITES

    • Approving the relevant credit and debit entries.
    • Manage and control the arrears portfolio in respect of IPF that are showing extreme distress or delinquency so as to facilitate the rehabilitation of customer arrears.
    • Maintain and enhance customer service while attending to customer queries in regard to IPF and other bank products.
    • Issuing timely terminations notices upon default of premium payment.
    • Aggressively chasing Insurance companies for refunds.
    • To control and manage the flow of incoming mail.
    • Attending to the account reconciliation of customers account and customers queries.
    • Receipt of cheque payments and forwarding for banking.
    • Rehabilitation &Recovery (R&R) Metrics report.
    • End of month provision Risk grading.
    • Extraction of listing data and sending to the CRBs-full file listing.
    • Dispatching letters for listing.
    • Updates and delisting excel updates.
    • Accounts with funds report actioning.
    • Small Balance reports.
    • Risk grading-weekly.
    • Ensure compliance with statutory regulatory and supervisory requirements to protect the reputation of group and to avoid legal action /sanction in respect of regulatory and operational compliance matters.
    • Provide and submit comprehensive reports and/ or documentation to management on all insurance refunds made.
    • Prepare and control the posting of required letters and notices.
    • Accounts write-offs and Restructures.
    • Self-development.
    • Responsible for the implementation and adoption within Credit department of all Compliance, Anti-Money Laundering and Sanctions related requirements contained in policies, procedures and processes. This includes on-going due diligence of all banks customers to ensure compliance with the aforesaid laws and regulations.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Degree holder from a recognised University
    • Diploma in banking is an added advantage
    • Professional training in credit management
    • 3 years general Credit experience.

    Executive Banker

    JOB PURPOSE

    Provide a readily available, service-focused, knowledgeable and experienced point of contact for new and existing personal market customers. Ensure that the customers’ banking needs are identified and fulfilled efficiently and cost-effectively, while managing the risks associated with new accounts, mandates and specimen signatures. Maintain a high level of integrity and ethical standards.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITES

    • Customer service
    • Identify customer needs effectively and open new accounts accordingly.
    • Ensure that customers are assisted efficiently within the time frames laid down for particular transaction types – refer to 5 Star processes and high 5 process.
    • Cross-sell products effectively.
    • Ensure that customers are fully informed of their rights and obligations to the bank in accordance with the Code of Banking Practice.
    • Credit
    • Implement all the required steps and controls when opening accounts to minimize the risks associated with new business.
    • Gather complete and accurate data for the opening of loan accounts and granting of facilities.
    • Refer matters outside scoring criteria, with the appropriate information, to Accounts Support for further investigation.
    • Business development
    • Grow the Executive Banking new to bank customers, balance Sheet and Income statements in line with business strategic objectives
    • Increase branch advances by responsible lending practices
    • Sell the bank’s products proactively
    • Legislative compliance
    • Conduct a needs analysis to identify customer needs effectively when opening new accounts or giving product advice, in line with Financial Advisory and Intermediary Service Act license categories.
    • Complete disclosure to the customers in terms of accreditation, service fees, and commission.
    • Ensure proper record keeping in terms of Financial Advisory and Intermediary Services Act as well as the Financial Intelligence Center Act requirements.
    • Compliance
    • Responsible for the implementation and adoption within (indicate Department Branch, or Section as appropriate) of all Compliance, Anti-Money Laundering and Sanctions related requirements contained in policies, procedures and processes. This includes the consideration and approval of customers including those that require being subjected to Enhanced Due Diligence for on-boarding and continued business.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • 3 – 4 Years branch banking experience, with exposure to customer service
    • Degree holder from a recognized University (min – 2nd class upper or equivalent).
