    Assistant Boiler Technician

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Operate and monitor high pressure boiler operations and respond to varying load requirements including starting and shutting down.
    • Ensure that various meter readings of pressure and temperature are recorded.
    • Inspect boiler pipes, valves, pumps, and safety devices for leaks and malfunctions.
    • Periodically inspect and adjust control mechanisms by constant visual checks, reading gauges, and manipulating controls.
    • Blow down boiler when conductive solids and impurities exceed specified limits; test high- and low- pressure safety controls.
    • Ensuring the equipment and work station is clean and adhering to 5s.
    • Assisting the boiler technician in minor equipment repairs, perform daily maintenance on boilers including oiling and greasing of stokers, fans, motors, and other operating mechanisms.
    • Observe fire and safety precautions keeping current knowledge of all applicable safety laws and regulations in order to ensure full compliance at all times.
    • Responsible for chemical makeup of water, testing of water qualities, and checking viscosity of oil, including: Adding chemicals to condition boiler water to maintain a chemical balance in boiler water according to prescribed procedures.
    • Liasing with the quality team in Performing tests to the boiler water.
    • Monitoring, controlling proper use of fuel used to fire boiler.
    • Prepare and maintain records on treatment, oil, fuel and chemicals consumption, and steam and hot water production.
    • Cooperate and work with authorities and other inspectors as required.
    • Perform general maintenance duties requiring skills in plumbing, painting or mechanical trades. Investigate and take corrective action for emergency repairs.
    • Maintaining good housekeeping and cleanliness inside the boiler hose and its environs.

    KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION

    • Certificate or Diploma in boiler and steam systems operations from a recognized approved boiler training institution.
    • 2+ years practical working experience in the boiler and steam systems operations
    • Practical working knowledge of various types of boilers and steam systems equipment.
    • Ability to read and interpret mechanical diagrams, schematics and blueprints
    • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
    • Computer skills (Excel, word and internet/email writing).
    • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
    • Strong time management and organizational skills.
    • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.

    Delivery Driver

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Must comply with the policies, rules, procedures and instructions governing the use of vehicles.
    • Ensure adherence to the set rules for the vehicles.
    • All delivery or collection must be assigned by Customer care, a driver should not proceed for any task without authorization by Customer Care in charge.
    • Use of the company’s vehicle for personal errands/use is strictly prohibited .The passengers are also limited to those who are directly related to the official work. The vehicle is never to be rented or loaded with any outsider.
    • Observe and obey the traffic and City by-laws including parking rules.
    • Responsible for the company’s vehicle, must maintain it in accordance with the company’s recommendation. This includes cleaning of your vehicle, safe custody of the vehicle accessories as per the vehicle inventory checklist and photographs signed by you. Ensure that all the licenses of the vehicle are fully exercised and displayed.
    • Must ensure the tyres and other physical attribute of the vehicle including its mechanical functionality and service is in order. Any penalties arising due to your negligence in alerting the company on the same in good time for replacement or repairs/corrective measures are wholly liable to the respective driver.
    • You must report any accident involving your company vehicle immediately to the police and obtain an abstract /statement for the same. Ensure accident cases are reported within 24 hours.
    • Must ensure that there is no damage to the vehicle out of misuse or gross negligence.
    • All deliveries must be accompanied with the right documentation like invoice or delivery note. It is your duty to keep all the delivery records correctly.
    • You should carefully unload all deliveries at the right address, You must ensure that all items which do not get delivered are not getting unattended. You must return the said undelivered items back to the pick-up point or the company’s storage point.
    • Demonstrate exemplary work ethics and integrity when performing your duties at all times.
    • Maintain excellent working operational relationship with internal and external clients.
    • Perform any other duties as may be assigned to you by the management. 

    KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION

    • Must possess a valid driving license at all time.
