    Internal Auditor

    Job Description

    The role supports the Head of Audit in assisting the Board and Executive Management to protect the assets, reputation, and sustainability of Faulu Microfinance Bank.The role will be responsible for execution of audit assignments at Faulu bank including the branch network across the country.

    • To execute audits for Faulu Microfinance Bank.
    • To deliver multiple audit assignments in accordance with the Group Internal Audit (GIA) methodology.
    • Participate in development and implementation of risk-based audit plans.
    • To understand the risk profile of the business, gain and apply extensive industry knowledge in the various business lines.
    • Provide independent opinion on risk & control environment for the various business units or processes.
    • Engage with business unit process owners to agree on audit deliverables (risk assessments, control workshops and adequacy assessments) and timeframes and issues findings in relation to work done.
    • Challenge and influence the relevant executives to improve the governance, risk and control culture.
    • Specific focus will be placed on providing assurance on management of credit risk, operational risk, liquidity risk, compliance risk including effectiveness of AML/CFT program. 
    • Champion data analytics and continuous auditing in all assignments.
    • Conduct/assist in conducting Information systems audits as assigned by the supervisor from time to time.
    • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders such as branch managers, regional business managers and heads of departments.
    • Meet key customers to gain a better understanding of business expectations.
    • Provide clients with an understanding of audit expectations.
    • Contribute to developmental interventions and on the job coaching.

    Debt Recovery Manager

    Job Description

    This role is accountable to manage all preventative and arrears management functions within the Branch Network for a period of between 6-12 months

    • Joint responsibility with the Regional Collections Manager and Area Manager for the Collection and Book performance of the area and region Implementation and Management of Collection strategy with RCM and AM. Coaching (Behavioural) and Training (Technical) Collections Coach, BM's and AM's
    • Specific focus and Hands on approach All ICU, Relegation, Nursery and BSP branch focus areas. Branch, Area and Employer visits. Diary Management of the Collection Coach aligned to area and region. Focus on poor performing branches and FCs Roll rate specific Active to Legal. Quality assessments on work done by Collection Coach. Reports and trend analysis. Specific focus areas: FPDs, FIMs, Arrears vs Payment Recency, specific trend per area/region (DR).

    Job Description

    Pioneering and executing the design of digital solutions to help employees create unique work experiences anytime, anywhere and through different channels. Work closely with and influence the Oracle, Solution Delivery and Digital teams to help fast track the testing of new ideas (i.e. Minimum Viable Product) and implementation of solutions.

    • Pioneering and executing digital or system solutions to help employees create unique experiences anytime, anywhere and through different channels
    • Design and deliver intuitive solutions that drive employee engagement and / or improve the employee experience.
    • Design and deliver projects in quick bursts to enhance existing system functionality or introduce new solutions to the business.
    • Work closely with business and employees to identify, analyse and review business processes to understand where opportunities exist to improve the employee experience.
    • Stay current on industry practices and trends and contribute to continuous improvement through the introduction of new technology and / or enhancement of existing system functionality.
    • Identify and build strong relationships with critical partners to enhance delivery of solutions.
    • Prepare the business case and provide expert advice on the best design of the proposed solution/s.
    • Lead the development and implementation of new systems or functionality with internal or third party implementation partners to ensure that solutions deliver on business expectations.
    • Manage and participate in quality assurance and user acceptance testing.
    • Work with business partners to investigate production incidents and log change requests to implement suitable fixes.
    • Provide advice in the support and maintenance of the system/s (e.g. incident resolution, call profiling, backlog reduction, risk mitigation, quality control and assurance, software development etc.).
    • Create monthly reports to track progress of solutions against identified benefits.
    • Represent department and / or project on appropriate committees.

    Channels Analyst

    Job Description

    Reporting to the Manager Digital and Alternative Channels, the job holder will be responsible for, implementing, maintaining and managing technical support of the Bank’s Digital Channels.

    • Provide customers, partners and end users with technical support by resolving all Digital Channels related issues, if necessary, will travel to other towns for on-site support
    • Manage customer complaints and /or new requirement processes regarding Digital Channels systems
    • Prepare service and technical analysis reports for Digital Channels systems.
    • Be the technical lead in the implementation of Digital Channels projects / initiatives.
    • Conduct Digital Channels technical training when necessary.
    • Vendor SLA management including quality of Service reviews
    • Enforce compliance to regulatory guidelines and payment standards set by Card Associations (i.e. Visa, MasterCard, SWIFT and the regulator) and other partners such as Interswitch.
    • Provide technical support to empower customer facing teams to undertake effective training on all Digital Channels Systems.
    • Perform prompt Digital Channels system upgrades and application of system patches from time to time
    • Develop, maintain and enforce procedures for controlling and keeping track of system updates and alterations for all Digital Channels systems.
    • Asset Management for Digital Channels systems.
    • Support and deliver 24X7X365 Digital Channels Availability
    • Implement Digital Channels Systems change management processes
    • To play an active role in the development and improvement of service delivery
    • To comply with, and actively support implementation of IT policies and procedures, and in particular those relating to the delivery of IT services, information security and risk management.
    • To actively engage in personal development and to pursue appropriate qualifications/training as agreed
    • To be available for any out-of-hours activities as required from time to time
    • Participate in at least two ITDRP tests
    • Closure of identified Digital Channels system risks or audit findings
    • Performs User access management and Quarterly / ad-hoc user Access review exercises
