    Fraud Analyst

    JOB PURPOSE
    Ensure accurate processing of all fraud raised issues and proper documentation of all fraud leads. In a timely manner to meet SLA.

    Key Job Functions

    • Conduct due diligence, process all fraud tickets from Freshdesk with complete data accuracy.
    • Document and track all fraud tickets on fraud SharePoint list correct data and maintain a high standard of data quality, controls, and comprehensiveness regarding all recorded data.
    • Conduct recorded investigations over the phone by interrogating suspects and the claimant to determine the legitimacy of the fraud allegations.
    • Send daily report on daily ticket resolution and audits.

    EXPERIENCE/ SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

    • Knowledgeable in identifying indicators of fraud through data mining and analytical exercises.
    • Interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with and manage business expectations with key stakeholders
    • A positive, learning-oriented attitude and capacity for self-empowerment
    • Two years’ work experience in a professional role
    • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and understanding of statistics and quantitative methods

    The Data Operations Analyst will be responsible for developing and maintaining reporting tools to support the business in running its operational processes and decision-making. To do so, the analyst will be expected to provide high-quality, accurate and timely reports within agreed timelines. To succeed in this role, the Analyst should possess strong attention to detail along with business acumen, communicate well and be very organized. Sharp analytical skills will be an added advantage

    Key Accountabilities

    • Prepare and maintain routine reports to support day-to-day business operations.
    • Produce and track key performance indicators for various departments
    • Identify areas to increase efficiency and automation of processes
    • Ensure accuracy of data used for reporting & analytical work
    • Liaise with various departments to fully understand business processes and their data requirements
    • Test new system features to ensure data is being correctly captured
    • Create data dashboards, graphs, and visualizations

    DELIVERY

    Analytical Thinking: Given a clearly scoped data/analytics question and with guidance, able to identify patterns and trends in the data using standard analytics and statistical methods. Able to interpret and sharing findings with colleagues.

    Data Processing

    • Executing SQL to extract data and analyzing that data using tools like Excel, Looker
    • Knowledge of Data Analysis tools – Advanced excel skills and Working knowledge of SQL Queries
    • Meticulousness to develop error-free, high-quality reports
    • Ability to draw insights and conclusions from reports
    • Excellent report writing skills
    • Ability to quickly understand key value drivers in various departments of the business
    • Strong and clear visual, written, and verbal communication and design skills,
    • Comfortable operating as part of a fast-moving, dynamic team
    • An understanding of data protection issues

    • Monitor and Man, the fraud escalation queue on Freshdesk ensure SLA adherence

    • Document and track all fraud tickets on fraud SharePoint list correct data and maintain a high standard of data quality, controls, and comprehensiveness regarding all recorded data
    • Conduct recorded investigations over the phone by interrogating suspects and the claimant to determine the legitimacy of the fraud allegations
    • Send daily report on daily ticket resolution and audit
    • KYC audits for all escalated customers on M-KOPA sales app Onfido

    EXPERIENCE/ SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

    • Certification in a fraud related discipline, such as Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE).
    • Knowledgeable in identifying indicators of fraud through data mining and analytical exercises.

    Fraud Investigator

    JOB PURPOSE

    Ensure proper diligence, field investigation, and carrying out of disciplinary and/or legal actions with regard to incidents of sales and customer-related fraud, in coordination with the fraud lead, fraud analysts and legal department

    Key Job Functions

    • Carry out field and desktop investigations of potential fraud instances
    • Conduct due diligence, and collect and report case findings regularly
    • Develop proactive strategies in the field to discovering cases of fraud
    • In coordination with the legal team, manage interactions with law enforcement related to confirmed fraud cases
    • Support the team on closure of all fraud cases within stipulated timelines
    • Support the fraud analyst in effecting DSR suspensions and act as a link with the sales team on DSR discipline.
    • Provide regular actionable feedback from customers, sales agents, and others related to fraud and credit insights that can improve the business

    EXPERIENCE/ SKILLS & COMPETENCIES/

    • Certification in a fraud related discipline, such as Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE).
    • Knowledgeable in identifying indicators of fraud through data mining and analytical exercises.
    • Understanding of criminal justice systems and processes
    • Comfortable interacting with various stakeholders, including customers, law enforcement, staff, etc.

    Employment Law Counsel

    Key Job Functions

    • Provide strategic legal guidance and counselling on a broad spectrum of employment law issues, including recruiting, diversity and inclusion, employee relations, performance management, leaves of absence and accommodations, wage and hour, pay equity, internal investigations, compensation and benefits, privacy, contingent workers and immigration.
    • Review, develop and maintain employment practices and policies and provide guidance on drafting and development of HR policies and procedures.

    • Mange and/or provide counsel on employment-related investigations in partnership with human resources, internal audit, fraud or other departments
    • Support special projects for the company, including but not limited to compliance, litigation management, reporting and other projects.
    • Assist with employment related due diligence, queries for transactions and from stakeholders

    EXPERIENCE/ SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

    • Minimum 3 years labour and employment law experience
    • Bachelor of Laws LLB (UK qualified an added advantage)
    • Managed employment issues for different jurisdictions added advantage
    • Employment litigation experience
    • A practical, business-oriented approach and excellent communication skills with the ability to distil complex legal concepts into simple, actionable recommendations
    • High level of integrity and professionalism
